been thinking about this all night ......

Ive been called a biggot, curtain twitcher, petty minded and anti social to name but a few of the comments. If only you knew anything about me other than the comments I have made regarding prostitution then maybe you would be able to make an informed opinion.

Protitution is illegal, so is urinating in the street and intimidation.
That is because they are all anti social. What a lovely world it would be if we all did those things.

My neighbour is welcome to spend his money how he wants but why do we have to be made aware of his activities.

We both work full time and are in our 30's with an active social life so we don't sit around all day "curtain twitching".

    Back to the issues!
as so many others have said your neighbours activities are not illegal, but you find them unacceptable on a daily basis.

So as you have tried the LL, managing agents and police and no one can help stop this mans behaviour I think that means that confirms he is not doing anything illegal.

I think your best option would be to contact your LL and request that if you pay the re-letting costs could you be released from the contract. Or to offer to find a new tenant that the LL is happy with at your own cost (money & time)

During this time if any of the minders/pimps pee in the street again then you should record this activity by calling the police - if it is a regular event then they maybe able to 'have a word' with the owner of the car at the very least. Ask the police if you should be keeping a diary of such events. The best outcome you could get is the police sending patrol cars around at the times the escorts/drivers are there.

You can report a car to the police if it is in any way suspicious. After a certain number of reports the police send a letter to the registered keeper.

Some of you really have a bitter acidic attitude towards women who earn a very lot of money doing something that you also do for money in a more closeted way ...whats the problem having a guy upstairs who in his late 60s still gets good wood? get over yourself and start living your life rather than becoming a curtain twitcher frightened by other peoples outlook on life...sad really..ps ...looks like you will need to find a better excuse to get out of you obligations.or do a deal with the old guy and undercut the girl..:):)
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

Sounds like the OP is not happy with her neighbour full stop. What he does in his own time is his own business, as long as he's not hurting anyone. No I wouldn't particularly like it above me, having said that, but tbh I have no idea what any of my neighbours get up to in their spare time.

The noise issue, is another thing. I've had it in flats, but unfortunately is commonplace so the only thing perhaps is to have a polite word with your neighbour, and perhaps look for somewhere else when your lease expires.

It sounds like the hooker has a pimp. In which case the law is being broken by both the pimp and the guy upstairs. So you know what to do - Call CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111.

Thousands of girls and young women from the U.K. and the rest of the world are groomed, conned, coerced and forced into prostitution in every town and city in the U.K. They are the victims of well organised gangs of criminals that make millions from this awful trade. It is estimated that about 10 - 15% of people reading this answer will have a brothel within a few hundred yards of their home.
This is a 'hidden crime' perpetrated from behind closed doors. If you notice suspicious activity at any premises, you should report the matter to the local police or, anonymously, through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Contrary to what a lot of people on here seem to be saying, it is not "just a bit of fun". Nor is it obviously "just a career choice". If what you say is true, it could be that an offence is taking place.

    Jeez.

Let's not confuse material wealth and educational attainment with morality and ethics.

Your friend is basically a !!!!!. A slag. A prostitute. An escort. Whatever name you want to label her. That's what women who sells their bodies for money are.

She obviously has no respect for herself or her body and 'twice a year' is the biggest load of guff i've ever read.

Once her sell-by date is achieved and she can count her millions, she will still be morally and ethically bankrupt. And as she gets older and needs the companionship of a decent bloke, she's going to find it hard to find a man that can accept her whoring past.

I have no issues with prostitutes but to suggest they lead morally and ethically decent lifestyles is stretching it a bit...pun intended. I think that these morally-bankrupt women provide a valuable service to men who can poke them for a fee and not have to be nagged to death.

But, please, let's not suggest that being poked for money is in any way a lifestyle to be proud of.
there's plenty of lifestyles that i wouldn't be proud of. i would, however, be fully ashamed to have written your post. morality isn't absolute. hope you are not in a glass house with all your stone throwing,

Morality is what you make it. Some of us have more of it than others. Do you honestly think that a prossy has any respect whatsoever for herself? I'd be disgusted if I found out that any woman I went out with had a whoring past. But that's just me. Maybe I was brought up decent moral and ethical standards and don't scrape the bottom of the morality barrel, eh?

Having some fat, balding, sweating, old bloke pounding away at your body for £200. How quaint and charming. LOL.

i think it must be nice to sit in life and think you're morally superior to everyone else..... but thanks for for suggesting i wasn't brought up to proper moral or ethical standards, it's really helped clarify how sanctimonious you are.

I think making your own money in a manner that is legal and doesn't hurt any one else is a thing to be proud of.

I would hate to work in MacDonalds (the smell) but I don't think doing so would be morally dubious.
