Hartington Hall Youth Hostel I believe.

I am watching this weeks episode and am still aghast at the family spending £382 a week on food!!

We do have them or eat out now and again as a treat but even then our weekly food bill is never anywhere near £382. I can't see how it would be possible to spend that much even if you ate takeaway every day!
  • I can't believe the main family, I spend half of the chocolate budget on a full shop for two of us!

Also, I think their soup looked awful - I love lentils, but I am not sure what they had done there. You could have much nicer meals on a budget which would be more incentive to carry on with a budget rather than making yourself eat something you don't like. I'd prefer beans on toast over that!

Just flicked onto it today, and they'd made a mountain out of supermarket food, takeaways etc in the garden to show the family how much they're "wasting" every week on food. Surely a better use of the time, food and money would be to show them how many people that amount of money could feed in say, a homeless shelter, every week?

Hypocrites much? Showing people that they're wasting money by... wasting money!!!

It's the first time I've watched it tbh, it's very like "spendaholics" I used to like that. Even sounds like the same VoiceOver fella. But got bored after half an hour. The button rings were, erm, interesting, lol.

no wonder the family are not liking the meals, just what was that mince and dumpling thing? To my mind light and fluffy dumplings should be floating in the mince, that looked like a very heavy suet crust on top of burnt mince, yuk
