Hello! So I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if the lemon torte the overspending on food family made, is freezable? Its made using whipping cream and condensed milk with lemon juice for flavour (and is REALLY yummy!!). I made it yesterday but the use by on the whipping cream was yesterday. Whilst I would love to eat it all right now I thought it would be better to portion and freeze!

Never thought I'd say it but - sky plus, even better invention!
Or since we're talking about avoiding advertising, any personal video recorder (PVR) - you can even get freeview ones now!In a better financial position than ever before (thank you MSE!). Moved back to Scotland and now trying to keep debt-free!0 -

However, I'm with the aforementioned provider for telephone and BB and they worked out quite a bit cheaper than cherry-picking bits from here and there (not including the cashback and M&S vouchers:j) so the tv works out (almost) free - or I wouldn't have bothered, hence the 'I never thought I'd say it...'.
But yes, ANY PVR is fab0 -

We had a really nice freeview plus box which my DH won - they cost a couple of hundred pounds new. Unfortunately some bright spark (DH actually) decided to blu-tak the playstation to it to stop the PS being pulled on to the floor. DD2 pulled the playstation AND the freeview box on to the floor and it never worked properly again. We are now using the cheap basic freeview box which is annoying. If the PS had been broken it wouldn't have bothered me.0 -
anyone else wonder how on earth those pretty girls spent all that money and looked so bad?Their skin, hair and makeup and all those mismatched outfits.. I havent yet seen the cheap outfit challenge but am willing to bet they may actually look more attractive

I think people often buy far too many clothes and end up sending loads of them unworn to a charity shop - wasteful for them, but good news for thrifty people.
ETA I bought some fruit today, so I've kept the net bags they were in and I'm going to test them to see if they are any good at scrubbing the cooker clean. I'll report back!0
