I liked the reupholstery of the chair. It was a bit slapdash and possibly would have been done better with upholstery tacks but I thought the overall idea was very similar to the stuff from Squint.

I have lusted after the furniture from squint for ages. Think I might have to keep my eyes peeled at the car boot sales for some interesting fabrics and do my dining room chairs!

omg uphostelry was poor. It has also got to go with the room you are doing too. Who has old paint lying around and even if you do it goes hard. Thought it was all awful.

Same with the wine and the milk who has all these things left around. Did the perfume scent last a long time or was in gone straight away. Good perfume lasts for ages. You have to buy a bottle of vodka too.

As for having a lodger who wants a lodger in the house with 2 young children and who wants to squeeze their children into the same room where will everything go???

Loft who is going to rent your loft and what will they put in there? Driveway well wont you need that for your own car? How many people have a driveway they are not using?

Complete waste of time this programme. I dont think I will bother again.

I've got a couple of chairs which could do with a re-vamp, so I might give them a go.

That couple who had a weekend away left half their pizza! I'd have wrapped it up and taken it with me.

As for the pizza that was a wonderful filling meal wasnt it? At least his fillet steak would have filled him up? Bet they were starving a few hours after that meal nothing much to that pizza. He thought it was good value too. Pizzas are very expensive for what they are not good value at all?

I thought the last series was awful and I'm not impressed by this one either. It's a waste of good eyeballs to watch it!

This week I did think why am I still watching this

We will probably see a thread on here in a few weeks that someone has renters from hell turning up at all hours to get their stolen goods out of the loft :D

Completely agree with you. Mind you there's no way I'd have a stranger living in my house even if I didn't have children!

I'm going to watch the last episode, but I don't think I'll be bothering with any other series.

It did feel a bit like the moneypenny was just suggesting any old thing didn't it?
The family with the kiddies would have had to let a stranger not only sleep in their house but use the bathroom and kitchen which is hardly practical when you have small children in an average modern family home.
The loft space was not floored over (same as ours) so you can only store things if you balance them on the joists which adds strain to them. How would the people paying to store their stuff, actually access it?
Did anyone notice that the couple who were having the night out. had nearly £19 left to have a meal and then went and bought a £3 bottle of wine and had £17.50 of paper thin pizza and then said 'and we still have change'. :D
The perfume didn't seem particularly cheap to make unless you had all the ingredients to start with and a posh bottle to put them in.
Rather a half hearted episode all round.

I agree with Culpepper about the perfume-by the time you've bought a selection of essential oils and the vodka you might as well have bought a bottle of the real stuff from B**ts especially if you use points to buy it.

We stayed in a hostel last year with our walking group and it was good. The breakfast was better than most hotels . We slept in dorms but there was one double room avaliable which we allocated to the couple who organised the trip. I'm sure they said it had bunk beds though. Also that hostel wouldn't let us bring our own alcohol in .
