I missed it last night so didn't see this - do people actually PAY to have someone top up their screenwash?!

If you send you car in for a service they do it.

I have to say I was inspired by that car mechanic-ing last night - I do top up the screen wash, but usually leave the other stuff to DH, which he doesn't check very often, so today I've got the car on a relatively level place and I'm going to check oil, water, etc when the engine has cooled down.

    morning all,

can i just mention,if you have a sky box and are no longer "under contract" with them, usually a year i think- you can cancel your package with them, and the box and card you already have becomes a "freesat" service ,loads of channels,no money!

it was actually the sky person who told me this when i cancelled!lovely of him really.

Can I be stupid and ask if this works for the SKY+ bit as well. I am keen to get out from SKY (even though when we ring upto leave we get some nice discounts:D) but I thought my OH said that we would loose the recording part of SKY. We hardly watch anything live and so need the recording part but don't really watch any of the SKy channels.

lol - sounds mad but the ones i found on youtube were for favbric and not knitted. I worry that it will all unravel if i just sew it in a straight line :)

My MIL has Sky but will be cancelling as she is now in a nursing home. Can we bring the box/card to our house and it will work? We are having her TV as well.

I love that! The little corsage thing is lovely too. The jumpers i have are more knitted (how do you get more knitted I dont know) My Gran whom has passed knitted my little boy some cardigans when he was tiny but i know if i cut the sleeves off they will unravel?! I would love for these to be seen everyday and not put in a box and forgotten about x

i would think you would lose the sky+.

basically, once you cancel your package, sky don't provide anything anymore, the box reverts to being just a generic receiver :(
