  • Hi all,

I have bid on an all saints belt tonite for my daughter and won the auction.

I have checked the feedback as far as i can go back and it seems that the seller has listed very similar belts for the past 6 mths.
The belt that was listed tonite was described as being "genuine all saints merchandise" but previous sales by this seller have said things like" jesus rocks slogan belts for all the saints" which are obviously copies.

The belt in the picture is photographed next to an all saints bag and tag, and a picture shows the inside of the belt which has all saints imbossed in the leather.....

Not really sure what to do as its my 14 yr old daughters own money. The belt is costing £51 and she would be heartbroken if she was stitched up.

Any advice from regular ebayers would be really appreciated.

    Thanks

    Mac

Thanks Fay! Any advice from your legal eagle in Wiltshire?

Have just spoken to his probabtion officer who has seen him today and he denies all knowledge of the episode. He has given her a mobile number for me to contact him on and has asked that I let him know the outcome - even she said go the police as if I have evidence it is a criminal matter!!!! Just seems to be the police that don't think so

Well I would concur that you have a criminal case under Section 15A Theft Act - Obtain a money transfer by deception

Wording: On **(..SPECIFY DATE..) at **(..SPECIFY TOWNSHIP..), dishonestly obtained from **(..SPECIFY PERSON..) a money transfer in the sum of **(..SPECIFY AMOUNT..) for yourself or another by deception, namely by falsely representing that **(..SPECIFY DECEPTION..).

Thank you - but where do I go from here if the police won't take it further?

whats his ebay name? ..just being nosey.

I hope you get your money back but i dare say that even if it goes to court and you win that you may still not get it back. Wonder if hes on drugs and if so you may have to form a queue for money owed/stolen.
    An idea for everyone!!

My heart really goes out and with so many people reading this thread if we all sent her 50p or even a penny as 7000+ have read this she'd have her money back in no time.Maybe use paypal so that you dont have to give your home address out.
Im happy to send her 50p..anyone else???
  • I feel for you Amanda, truly, I do. Bu you're asking the wrong people, honey.

Get some legal advice, free or paid for. A solicitor. Free or paid for. A mate who is a solicitor, someone on here who will give you an hour of their time. THEN GO DOWN TO YOUR LOCAL POLICE STATION WITH YOUR LEGAL ADVISOR AND SORT THIS OUT. It is CLEARLY theft.

The police are just being lazy and trying to palm you off with nonsense. get legal advice, get down there and be proactive, or this is going to ruin your christmas.
