    mummysaver, congratulations on the scan
julie67, you should be excited, sounds brilliant! cake sounds lovelt too
celyn90, hope you have better luck finding a good house soon
bitsy, FS sounds interesting, it would be good if something like it was introduced when children are really young like reception/year one or regularly so it's not such a shock. i remember having something similar sprung upon me when i was 11 and didn't really like it, then again when i was 13 (and at an all girls grammar school where we had very little PE/facilities usually, and 13- that's such a dodgy age for girls!) and it did the complete opposite for my confidence and some of my friends even cried all the few days we were away doing it!

Afternoon all, I've been a touch sleep deprived lately but just slept 12 hours straight! When I eventually surfaced at one, the kitchen that I cleaned at 2pm yesterday had been anihiliated  Not impressed, wiped down a patch of surface big enough for me to make breakfast then left. Thank god it's not long until I leave now!
Not much OS today: cleaning the bathroom before I use it, put washing away, post office, then working at home and in uni until 10pm. Maybe I should squeeze some exercise in as i'm looking a bit porky in some of the photos that have surfaced from the wedding so far :o

Bargainbird here is the link for the cake. I have made it twice now and turned out gorgeous both times http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/chocolate_orange_fudge_87574

JulieG thanks for the ideas, I hadn't thought of strawberries and cream, excellent idea:D I am plowing through the Nora Roberts but can't imagine what happens next as they have already decided to get married so bit of an anti climax but will plow on

Tiger I am tired just thinking about what you've done this morning

Have picked up a couple of nice things in the charity shop this morning, a pair of white linen pants (M&S) for £3.99 they are like new and have sparkly bits around the waist. Lovely for summer and Oz and a lovely chiffony Per Una blouse for £2. The trousers are a 14 but I think they should fit soon the way I am feeling, really seem to have got my head around low GI:T

Managed to get some hake from the fishmongers not cheap but we all love fish and its a recipe with chickpeas so I can join in as well.

Cor! my lot would love to do that. Sounds amazing Bitsy.

Sorry can't come round and do yours as I have 6 other rooms that look similar to that one and it is going to take me weeks to do each room, especially as that was the smallest and took me the best part of a morning to do. The trick is going to be keeping the clean rooms clean and continue to do the other rooms.

The problem is I suffer from health problems so I have to do it when I am feeling well.

Julie, well done on your CS bargains, they sound lovely.

Right DW emptied and filled and dinner in the SC. Off to get the brood now and buy some veg.

    Have a good afternoon everyone.

LOL I must be getting really good at this Low Gi/Gl stuff :D

I am glad you have your head round this Gi stuff... I found my craving for sweets etc have all gone, and I am fuller then ever... and I am handling it all really well!!!! I don;t see food and think... I WANT!

Yes, I thought the same... Once you start the second half you'll work out why... problem is... Eve and her story bore me... hence why I never finished it... I want to know about the Diamonds though! I want to know why? who? how?

Busy wee day here, presentation postponed till next month, so cleaned bedroom, stripped bed, hung out washing and went to get tyres checked on car.....£179 later, came home! Grrrrrrr:mad:
I have conjunctivitis and eye is throbbing, and feels like I may be developing a chest infection, just what I need on my days off, should be out in the garden but no energy, think I might have a wee snooze and see how I feel after that!

Reverbe it might be worth posting on the OS meet up thread about your tickets, maybe someone like Caterina or Annie who live in London would like them, I don't think they read the daily.:)

    Afternoon!

Its a glorious day here, I made the huge decision to turn the heating off last night, and leave it off until the winter. We'll see how long that lasts.

Hester I hope it went OK today at school. Soup on for the boys, they aren't eating enough veg. I am having asparagus and gruyere with salad.

Someone at work today told me I am looking great and I must have lost a huge amount of weight :) I think she was over egging the pudding a little but it did cheer me up.

Hugs spoons and hi fives all round.

    Afternoon all
Complaint all sorted, entirely my own fault I forgot to take my crystal ball to work with me so was unable to guess what a parent (who had her phone turned off) wanted me to do.
    Hugs Hester

Adelight - at my DS's school they start in Nursery and continue to Reception. I think they are considering carrying it on to Year 1 but it's not actually in place yet.

JackieG - I doubt she was over egging the pudding. It's a genuine compliment so take it as it was meant ;) I am sure you look fabulous :D
