Productive 15 mins :D Emptied and filled the DW and got a load of washing folded and sorted into who's who piles.

15 min now to read the board.

Have a good weekend Julie. I am so jealous of you, hope the move goes smoothly.

    Morning All ,

miecherox - good luck for your scan today
HH - try not to worry. You would have done everything that you've been trained to do so there's no grounds for complaint I'm sure
mummysaver - glad your scan went well! Wish I had been able to find out what we're having!

Beautiful and sunny here today. Wish I wasn't at work but then I only have till next Friday so I shouldn't moan really :o You can bet your bottom dollar though that as soon as I finish work, it'll be raining and freezing every day

DN is improving day by day. Actually did her homework without being forced into it last night  and is quite chatty for her.

DH is at home poorly - proper poorly he's on bed rest as he has a nasty infection. And my Mum has shingles bless her :( She told me when I got in yesterday - I didn't even know she'd had a rash poor thing she's been suffering in silence. She's got anti-viral drugs but says she feels alright really, hope it doesn't get too bad it can be quite painful can't it?

OS today, I need to sort the washing out and cook something for tea tonight. No idea what.

    Hugs to all xx

Bitsy - I think ds quite likes being the only boy really!

Miecherox - hope the scan goes well, mine is baby number 5 too - four just wasn't enough of a challenge lol!

Lowesy - we wanted to know for dd3, as we were moving and were trying to decide what to get rid of, but she refused to show herself properly lol! Quite excited to have actually found out this time, best friend was all overcome too!

JackieO - for what it's worth I don't think I'd be lending your neighbours anything in the future, hoovers or money! Sounds like they need to learn to stand on their own ten feet! Though I have to say, my first reaction was how do they get away with only hoovering once a week with 5 people in the house lol!

  • Miecherox you are not alone, I love cooking and always get excited about food (especially new ideas!). Good luck with the scan x

Hester I hope you meeting goes well x

esmf73 when I researched about low GI I found a few references to the fact that people react badly to bread/pasta and assume it's Gluten that's effecting them, when actually our bodies have trouble processing refined white flour. Just an idea, but maybe try eating granary bread and wholewheat pasta, and wholegrain Basmati rice (if you don't already) and see if it makes you feel better, as this can be a much cheaper option then Gluten Free x

Mummysaver concratulations on another baby girl x

Julie67 what meal have you planned for the weekend?? Hope you have a great one and the sun stays around for you x

Well last night was nice, I video called a friend who I haven't spoken to for a while...!

Today the Rabbits are out, the Cats are in (Our Princess went out last night and as usual was to scared to come in as she's scared of the cat flap, so tigger stayed out with her!! Both are conked out now :rotfl:!!), what a lovely day! I cannot wait until my lunchtime walk!

My DH wants me to buy him a £500 bike to save money on commuting!!!! which will work once I go part time, and while I have the summer off... but then what? I think we could save £250 in fuel between now and the end of the summer... BUT what if I get a FT job... what then??? I'll be £250 short!

Anyway, LO Frickadellen and Salad for dinner tonight!

Afterwards I think we will have Family movie night again, and watch some more of the 3rd Lord of the Rings DS8 is loving it (He begged to watch it, I thought he would be bored by now... 3 weeks later and we are still watching it....!)

Bring on lunch, I want to walk the beach... half an hour is not anywhere near long enough though x

Have a great day everyone x

mummysaver - our sonographer told us he could tell, but DH so so so wanted a surprise I couldn't find out! He told me I was more than welcome to - like I could keep my big gob shut for another 20 weeks :rotfl: everyone at work thinks this is a boy though. I'm not sure, reckon it's contrary enough already to be a boy :D

Just done another 15 mins. More washing folded and sorted. A load hung out. Washing collected from various floors around the upstairs. Cleaning stuff, bin bags etc. taken upstairs ready for work. Brood's bathroom toilet had a load of bleach bunged down it.

It is amazing how much I get done in my 15 min. blasts. I need to do it this way as I have problems with my hips and back and shoulder and neck.

    Morning all,
Slow start here today due to various ailments, which is a bit of a pain as after yesterdays non event I have loads to do. I have put rubbish & recycling out & dw & wm on & washing is now on the line. It is another beautiful day now, although was very misty when I got up. Need to do baking today as it is my turn to provide cakes for my knit & natter group tomorrow & the tins here are empty! Also there is no bread:eek: that will need to be sorted before DS gets home or you lot will be hearing the wails from here:rotfl::rotfl:He is not in my good books as he bunked off school yesterday afternoon:mad:
Put some raspberry shoots on freecycle yesterday & they are being collected by the local nursery school who have started their own garden, have also got some spare cabbage plants so shall see if they would like them as well.
Am going to declutter a coffee whilst watching heirhunters & hopefully painkillers will have kicked in by then & I will be able to get on.
    HH grr for you x
Mommysaver I think Lidl have a steam mop on next weeks offers, might be cheaper than LL & congrats on little girl.
Miecherox good luck with your scan today.

Hugs spoons & hi5's all round

Julie G bit of a difficult one as my family are quite traditional. My mum is bringing her famous cheese and onion pies, and I thought I would make a big meat and potatoe pie, plus cabbages and pickles. Obviously I won't be eating that but thought I might do a a roast pork joint and new potatoes and salad, just put it all out and let people help themselves. My brother is bringing a trifle and I will make a chocolate orange fudge cake, neither of which I am going to have. Any low GI ideas much appreciated. Especially if I don't have to tell anyone I am low GI ing, they are very strange when it comes to trying to lose weight. You are lovely as you are, life's too short etc ect:cool:

Morning Everyone! No sun through yet here - but fingers crossed! Just about to put WM on, so hopefully set for line drying later. Missed yesterday's thread but pleased by all the new baby news today! Reckon your DS will be quite happy to be the sole male really mummysaver - although I remember my brother threatening to drown his new (third) baby sister in the backwater as he "didn't want yet another bossy sister!" Can't think who he was referring to (but I'm the eldest!!)
HH - hope the meeting goes OK. Some people just have to whinge about antything and everything, I find.
JG - Am really jealous that you live near the sea - I do miss it so much and would love to have a nearby beach to walk on.
JackieO - you sound as if you've been more than generous to your neighbours, and in fact they've really taken advantage I think. My Mum would have quoted the old adage of "Never a borrower or a lender be" - although she would always help anyone she could, so clearly didn't stick to it!
Oh well, must get on and do something useful I suppose! have a good day, everyone - and take care!

    WOOHOO!!!!!!
I'm back!!!! I couldn't believe it when I tried to get on MSE today and I could!!! For some reason for the past 2 weeks or so, I could only access my email and freecycle, but not here. Had withdrawal symptoms I can tell you!
Hope everyone is well. Lovely baby scan news!!!
HH hope the interview at work goes ok. There will always be people who complain!
Had let our 'visiting cat' in last night as dh away. She was miaowing at the the door at about midnight. Was lovely to have her curled up on my feet. Anyhoo, at 04.30am, heard a big splash and scrabbling, and poor kitty appeared from the bathroom dripping wet:eek: The bath hadn't been emptied after dd had her bath last night, and for some reason the cat decied to jump in it in the dark!!!!!!!!

Having a quiet week as dh away til Sunday. Been doing flylady but haven't done much today once I sat down at the PC!.
Need to get on and do stuff.
Hugs and hi-5s to all in need or want.
OH, it feels great to be back!
