Julie67 Roast pork is lovely with Salad (I use Olive Oil, White Wine Vinigar and Wholegrain Mustard as a dressing)!
As for desserts... Strawberries and Cream...! Or Raspberries, or Cherries... all very good on Low GI and taste amazing (I had strawberries on Sunday at a Christening... YUMMY)
Also Cheese and Biscuits (add some Nairns Oatcakes for yourself) and you can have those

Good Morning all ,lots of lovely new babies at the moment on here so there will be the sound of many knitting needles clicking I think.Beautiful day here in north Kent I am stuck indoors doing my essay but once its done I am going to go down to the riverside country park for a good long stroll. No ffod shopping bought this week but I did nip up to B&Qs this morning to treat my youngest DD to one of the Dulux paint pod machines .My eldest DD bought one a few months ago and says they are really good ,but she paid silly money for it .At B&Qs its on offer at £29.00 and with my 'crinkle card' I got a 10% discount so it just cost £26.10.Better than an Easter Egg, much more useful.DD and her OH and tribe live in a three storey town house and with five children and two dogs emulsion is definitely on the agenda almost everywhere in their house. It will help with the decorating over the East bank holidays which is what they normally do especially if the weather is bad.Right I better get back to my essay on the Demise of the London Dockyards in the late 20th century
have a good day folks

Just done another 15 min.
I am doing the bathroom of doom at the moment. Just before Christmas we had visitors and I judt had to go round the house and pick up all the detritus and shoved it in there and put a chair in front of it. I am now getting on with sorting it out
Unfortunatly no one checked the loo before we did this and it had stuff in it
Have given it a really good scrub and now there is a bit of brown just going into the u bend, so will do a bit each day and it should clean up.
Have got half a bag of clothes to go to the CS so far. Half a bag of rubbish. Discovered clothes I forgot I had (about half a bags worth.) Found the curtains that I wanted to put up in the littleun's room. Found shoes and clothes that they have grown out of to be bagged up and put in the loft.
The replacement trousers have been delivered and guess what <rolls eyes> same length. All I want is some trouser that fit . It is since they have said petite is up to 5'3" rather than 5'2" that I have started having problems.
The Financial Advisor has rung to make an appointment to talk about my pension. He has researched to see if the one I have is the best for me or if I need to change.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

Right that is 2/3rds of the floor clear. The bath empty. Toilet, bath and sink absolutly sparkling. Tiled shelf behind the toilet sorted and cleaned and towels folded and neatly stacked there.
I'm getting there. I hope that I can get it done by lunch time. If I can then I will feel like I have acheived something today.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Jaxx - thanks, will hang on and see what Lidl have then, their electrical stuff is usually really good quality and value.
Lowesy - babydaddy originally didn't want to know either, but then changed his mind, there's no way I could have kept it secret for 20 weeks either lol!
tiredmum - love the pics, especially the one of your Ziggy where he looks like he's trotting! My ds is now saying he doesn't want to go to uni, has another year of A levels left though, but I'm sure they do it to get us going! I don't think the world of work appeals a great deal to him either, so university it will have to be, luckily he is quite a bright lad - though a lil lacking in motivation at the mo lol!
tigerfeet - well done, I find short bursts effective too, mainly cos I don't mind the idea of 15mins quite as much as a whole morning!
Have now done the kitchen, sitting room, hall and stairs, rubbish out, dinner organised, and assorted other bits sorted! Windows all thrown open and it is so lovely, must now check I have some ironed uniform and remember to drop some stuff off with best friend en route to work. First going to have a quick browse of buggies, who knew that there was so much to consider - I'm sure that the basics can't have changed that much: wheels, reclining seat, lightweight, fit in car, etc!GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Morning all, not had a chance to read through the tread yet , sun is up and it is glorious outside.Duvet cover and sheets on the line, nothing like getting into a lovely clean bed with sun dried sheets. After the dishwasher blowing up yesterday night:eek::eek: i have been scouring the usual sites , freecycle ,gumtree, preloved and ebay in search of a replacement. have found a few and am waiting with fingers crossed for replies. Got to take woofer to the vets this afternoon. He has a split nail and it looks very red and fleshy poor woofer.:(:(:(Son feels much better today , no more being sick.

Morning all

At work again today; must work a bit harder as I feel like I'm slacking a bit
We saw another house last night, I really liked it but OH didn't approve of the fact that the ceilings upstairs were low (not that it should matter, we are both midgets) but I see where he is coming from. If he can touch the ceiling though, then that isn't good (and should be classed as "hobbit hole").
Our offer on the other one was formally rejected; but we are not sure if we want to go any higher with it - I dug out the original plannning application for the development in 1956 and have found that it is an easiform. It has a brick facade - so it wasn't immediately obvious (I only looked it up because the roof didn't look 100% normal to me; but I couldn't open the loft hatch when we viewed it, so didn't get to see inside). As it's a type 2 (I think), we think our lender would lend, but only at a lower LTV; but it is the resaleability potential of it worries me a bit if we are going to be in it a while so I need to dig around bit more and get some insurance information. *sigh* At least I noticed before shelling out for a survey so am not going in blind. I hate house hunting.
Not much OSing - was shattered last night, so OH ate leftover pasta and I had cereal. I need to make more of an effort. Did put some laundry on this morning before I left work; but the dust bunnies have been spreading their fairy dust again.
Have a good day all, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0
