@smj43
I applied on 22nd March - online application accepted (subject to checks). I received a couple of emails on 29th March - managed to log in using details sent and limit is £300.0 -
I have found out today I have also been accepted for a Cap One Progress card with a £300.00 limit too my Cap One Classic has the same limit.0
-
I just received my account details and PIN, and just like the 2 people above me, a £300 limit.0

I may have missed elsewhere, but did anyone have a balance on their classic card when applying for the progress card?
I currently have the classic card with a £1600 limit (and small balance); I would hate to have to close this account incase I was rejected for the progress or given a very low limit.
Thanks.0 -

My classic is maxed and it was when I applied. You don't need to close your Classic to have the Progress, you can have both.
@TigerLily I have had the Classic for nearly 1 year.0 -
Ive had my classic about 8 months and its maxed but they still let me have a progress card with a £300.00 limit.0

Been building credit file back up over the last 2 years after disasterously (not) managing it at all well for the preceeding 3 years.
I have a Capital One Classic £1,600 limit - with a now nil balance (the only card that I managed to avoid defaulting on!)
I applied for the Progress Card on 29th March, and got a decision pending message.
My "nearly there" letter and pin arrived on the 31st March. I called them to ask what the limit would be - £1,000.
Why bother? - 2 reasons. Firstly there is no annual fee for the Progress Card, and Secondly although I clear my card in full every month, over time the 17.9% apr looks relatively competitive for us still not worthy of mainstream.
Still to receive the card and activate though - still time for a spanner to arrive in the works!
