hi there long time lurker, just had a question. i had a cap one classic card that i defaulted on and default fell off.
out of interest i applied to them again on sunday and was accepted with a limit of 200.

i had the problem with safari when it wouldnt let me sign the credit agreement online and called them the next morning to ask if i definitely had been accepted and that they were posting out the form then i would get the card

after reading this im thinking theres still a chance it might be declined or is that all i need to do>
    any helps appreciated
that's correct. If they said you are accepted then i believe you are. After all a default drops off after 6 years? so must have been a good while ago you defaulted.

Right so signed up to online account, but it is saying that my service is restricted when I try to click contact us, also there is no secure message centre showing, can anyone maybe tell me if they have had this problem.

For the sake of starting a new topic....

I applied for a cap1 Classic Visa last saturday, However it said the decision had been referred or something ! I've waited seven months since i was last rejected for one through capital one, However last time the letter of rejection came through within about 3 days, However i haven't heard anything back and its been 7 days, Is this perhaps goodish news, Maybe there sending some paperwork to sign ? Or is the postman prolonging my agony ?

If i'm rejected, Should i have a crack at appealing ? Perhaps send them a small letter as to why i feel i should be given a small line of credit + Perhaps 2 pay-slips, And some Identification Documents ? I'm on the electoral Roll and have lived here for 15 years.

    Thanks !

You are just going to have to wait and see, unless you call them and ask the status of your application. They could tell you over the phone straight away if it's accepted or not. As for appealing if you are declined, I don't think proving that you could afford it is something that would change their minds. If you are declined, it is not likely to be anything to do with whether or not you can afford it. If you are declined, I advise you waiting a few months and trying again. I was declined twice for the Classic before they finally gave it to me.

    Thanks for your reply !

I'm just hoping i get accepted, I really want a second chance of having some credit and using it sensibly. Hmm i guess i'll have a shot at appealing if it does come back as a decline, Fingers crossed.

Hi everyone I also applied 4 a capital one card today,I think I was accepted but safari couldn't put me through to sign 4 it! I was declared bankrupt 5 years ago and I'm trying 2 build up a credit rate again! Do you really think my application has been accepted?
