sorry to drag this up again
does anybody no if westcot collections are linked to capital one?
being bothered by them last two days and no other debts are witha dca
thanks0 -
What are they asking for0
-
they wont divulge anything mate
it must be tbh as all creditors havent been in touch and are seemingly happy with dmp
cougar have just gone dead on me ever since the cca request which capital one then sent eventually0 -
May be they are just trying it on if it bothers you get them to prove it it should have some account number on it or wait and see what they come up with next
My latest one after threats of court action including attachment of earnings house repossession is they will step up collection activity
WOW is that the best they can do
What they seem to be a little unaware of is I have been informed the new EU directive which without a proper executed NOA the OC must accept your payment so make of that what you will and decide your way forward0 -
Wescot are fools. Ignore them for the moment....;)Happiness, is a Kebab called Doner.....:heart2::heart2:0

an update
spoke to westcot today and they have clarified it is the c one debt which is good to no.
i explained i am on a self managed dmp and that i would be able to pay my current £26 per month (he explained it needs to go direct to them rather than capital one is this correct?)
he also said they would accept a partial settlement of £600 he is sending this "offer" out by post tonight
HE SAID A PARTIAL settlement would sto p them chasing me but wouldnt show the whole debt being cleared???? how does this work please?
thanks for any help as ever0 -
sorry for awful spelling earlier jesus work pc getting worse
i will put the letter up on here when they send it to me
thanks for all help again0 -
Have you received a noa from c1 / wescot??
Have wescot bought the debt, or is it an equitable assignment only?
If I were you I'd only settle if they are prepared to mark the account "settled in full" - it will not be pursued further, or the balance sold on to others.
If the account is marked as part settled / settled, it still shows other creditors that it was not fully settled, so can remain a detrimental comment.
They will insist that they can't mark it as settled in full because in effect it wasn't, but they CAN if they want to.Happiness, is a Kebab called Doner.....:heart2::heart2:0 -
thanks chippy
im not sure on your ? but i didnt like it when the guy said 600 would partially settle it , he then went onto say you wont get anybody to full and final settlement anymore0
