Dowload the game files from internet then either FTP them to the Xbox or burn them to a CD/DVD and transfer them. Xbox has to be in a modified state to allow this.

You don't transfer them your self (well, you can but it is easier to just goto http://www.worldofspectrum.org/ and download them - they are tiny and will only take seconds to download).

To mod the xbox all you need is a memory card, a copy of splinter cell (a xbox game) and an xploder - all of which are available for less than £10 total, and there is plenty of discussion about it earlier in this thread.

Just switched it on and put in a DVD to test and comes up with you need a xbox DVD movie playback kit!

I thought like the PS2 you could just put a DVD in and play it, is that not the case with the xbox then?

Are these expensive?

Burton is easier for me to get to on the train so we are going to take a trip there tomorrow. It is way better than Derby for shopping generally anyway

Check your local Woolworths. They had them cheap a few weeks ago. Other than that Its going hard to get. Ebay would be your best bet.
