I think I also read in the small print that it's not allowed to use it as a modem. However, if you should wish to try, then when connecting it via usb to my pc, one of the options is "Start mobile modem" so it should be possible.
... Just looked in the t-mobile branded manual on the phone:
"You can use the dialup software in your mobile phone to set the mobile phone as a modem.
1. Connect the mobile phone to the computer using your USB cable.
2. Click the Install DialUp button and follow the instructions to install it on your PC.
How to make your mobile phone work as a modem
To make your mobile phone work as a modem, do as follows:
1. Make sure your mobile phone's data connection is turned on.
2. Connect the mobile phone to the computer using your USB cable.
Getting Set for the Internet
3. Run the DialUp.exe file on your PC. For more information, refer to
the Help of the PC suite."0 -
The pink one is now on for £19.99.
I'm very tempted but don't think my son will be too impressed.0 -
You get 6 months internet (which is probably worth it because they don't charge if you use too much).
Beware.
You get 6 months free internet usage but it is limited to 500mb per month.
It does say it somewhere in the small print on their site but it was made a point of by the customer services agent who I spoke to to get my phone set up.
I just set mine to WiFi via our router when in the house to save on my allowance.0 -

The pink one isn't TOO pink more reddy than pink, but I would have preferred a black one.
Can't log into the t-mobile site at the mo says they are:-
"Sorry, but My T-Mobile is offline at the moment. Our techies are working really hard to sort this out, so please try again in an hour or so.."
Can't get wifi tethering on, looks like it needs a rooted device.Registered Linux user #497422 :beer:0 -
Cool, had ordered black but OOS so decided to go for pink (not for me - honest!). Went on site and saw price had dropped. £5 cashback via Quidco makes a very cheap Android phone :beer:0

Even better deal at £19.99 - Especially as some mobile recycle sites are offering £28 for the phone, Also you get £5 via Quidco when buying the phone and another £3 via Quidco when recycling it!:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21

How do you check if the 100 free minutes have been applied? The CS person on the phone I spoke to said it has but I see that I'm being charged when I go into "Recent Usage" in MyT-Mobile.0

I was told by customer services that you get the free 100 minutes the following month.
If you bought yours this week as I did you will get them in May.
I ordered my daughters durin the last week of March so she has received a text saying she has 100 free minutes this month.0 -
