The 2nd phone that I ordered for my 12 year old had just arrived.

I'm going to set it up and charge it for her before she arrives home from school.

Do I have to create a gmail account for her to set the phone up?

I already had a gmail account myself so that was already set up etc.

    c:geo?

Not well up on these things, off to educate myself, never heard of it.

It's an app for geocaching. It's like treasure hunting with your phone. We love it and have found loads of new places to visit since doing it and in true MSE style, it's a free but fun activity for the kids too.

One thing I don't like is the shape, it keeps slipping out of my hand.

It's a good job I have only dropped it indoors but I have only had it a couple of days.

Does anyone know which is the best phone case at a reasonable price that you can buy for these?

For now, wilst I am indoors I have wrapped a couple of medium elastic bands 2/3'ds down it to stop it sliding out of my hand!

I downloaded Android Booster which makes it easier for me to switch to WiFi.

I can then download the Android apps a lot quicker ie my daughter downloaded Talking Tom tonight 'normally' which took a few minutes, it took less than a minute using WiFi.

The thing that puzzles me is, I went on the school run today which is a couple of miles away, took my phone with me to play with as you do.

When I looked at the connection icon it was showing that I was connected to Wifi. I was in a street near the school, no pubs or anything like that nearby.

Could that be why it connected to wifi?

I would have thought I would have to have clicked on providers though but I didn't.

I'm a total newbie to Android but just had an idea to look on YouTube for free android games.

Perhaps this may give other newbies an idea of some of the free games you can get and whether it is worth buying this phone just to download games!

My 12 year old certainl thinks it is.
