So why did mine come from Singapore when the site specifies 'genuine UK medication'???0
-
I have just bought six pipettes of Frontline Combo for £13.00. It has arrived this morning via Singapore. Did not read anything on this site before but am desperate to use it because of the damned fleas in my house!! What does anyone suggest I do? It looks like the real thing - it did however take over a week to get here. Advice please?0

i notice the company still has a website despite reading it is going to be stopped. I ordered some frontline combo for my cats and then tried to ring them to cancel after reading this is prescription med only but couldnt get through. So i have told the bank about this and they assure me they will get money back even if its been taken out.
I was told to keep my email that i sent to them and they now say it has been cancelled so fingers crossed0 -
I use this site and they send you exactly what you order, the same as you get at the vets. Some of what has been written on this topic is rubbish. Why be ripped off here with vets overpriced products. I buy Frontline Combo and it is a disgrace that in this country they make it prescription only, it's just to fix the prices high. If these vets and chemist cared more about the animals and the environment they would not be doing this, unfortunately they care only about making lots of money!
Im a litte confused as what to think about this site. I was given this site by a work collegue and came highly recommended, she has used the site for years never with any issues in either delivery or side effects that her pets have recieved.
Yeah there appear to be a few damming posts about them, but the worst one comes from a rival online pet company so they are bound to be a bit negative are they not? He also stated over a year ago that this site was to be shut down in a few days, this site is still operating so are they so illegal and illegitimate given the fact they still havent been shut down??
Ok so some people may not have recieved their order on time, but by the sounds of it, it does come eventually, and tbh i dont care if its shipped from outside the U.K., as long as its what it says on the tin then im happy with that. Vets medication in this country is an absolute rip off and i will quite happily go elsewhere than be forced to pay these extortionate fees direct from my Vet.
So do i go with my work collegue and use them as she highly recommends them or do i take the moral ground and not bother, simply because its shipped from outside the U.K. and some people didnt get a delivery???0 -

There's also a possibility that you yourself would be committing an offence if you order from them, although realistically that'll never come to anything.
Is it worth taking the risk? Ignoring the legal situation, perhaps if they were massively cheaper and it enabled you to afford something that you otherwise would have to do without. However, take my last purchase (Frontline Combo large dog 6 pipettes, not on offer); it would cost me more to break the law than to follow it. I'd rather give my money to a (British) vet than some (foreign) cowboy.
Animed Direct
Vet prescription fee £6
Combo Large Dog x6 £26.19
Shipping NIL
TOTAL £32.19
DPC
Vet prescription NIL
Combo Large Dog x6 £33.89
Shipping £2.99
TOTAL £36.88
EDIT: BTW, just checked and DiscountPetCare is more expensive for Frontline Combo for cats,Advocate for medium dogs (~90% more expensive!), etc.0 -
i appreciate what your saying, but if Discount Petcare has a .co.uk adress how do i know that any of the other websites are not performing "illegaly" as you say and arent operating outside of the UK?!
I no you shouldnt gamble with health and pets health is no different, but in this day and age of recession, i live on my own and times are tight. If i can get something cheaper, that comes highly recommended from my work colloeague why would i not doubt them?
however having said that, i have found the Advantage 400 for extra large dogs is £6 cheaper for 4 pipettes, is VET uk a regulated offical website?!0 -

You can check for reviews on anywhere you want to use to see if there are any reports of non-UK medicines, missing orders, poor comms, etc. As always though, any order contains an element of risk. What you do know with 100% certainty is that DiscountPetCare is not operating legally.
I've used VetUK and they were fine. They're a UK company.0 -

Great, thanks for your help! will have a look about for some reviews and will probably opt for the vet.uk website and see how i get on0 -
They are nothing but a scam. I order 3 boxes of Advocate. They removed £54.51 from my account and then only sent me one box with an invoice for £14.50. That would have been fine if that is all they removed from my account (£14.50), but it was not the case.
Paying £54.51 for one box of Advocate, what are they playing at!!!
Now I have been reimbursed £32.82 that means, ignoring the dud invoice they sent me I have been charged £21.69... which going by their website is about the price for the goods I got.
WHAT STRESS. ARGUING WITH THEM BY EMAIL. THEY PRETEND THAT THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT IS THE ISSUE. JUST ACT STUPID IN THE HOPE, I IMAGINE, I WOULD JUST GO AWAY. CONTACTING MY BANK, INSTRUCTING THEM TO BLOCK THIS 'BUSINESS' FROM WITHDRAWING ANY MORE MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT (as they are not ethical and have my visa details, who knows what they could do with it). HAVING TO FILL OUT LOADS OF FORMS AND PHOTOSTAT CORRESPONDENCE THROUGH ETC... TIME CONSUMING NONSENSE TO GET INVOLVED WITH BUT I WAS NOT LETTING THEM GET AWAY WITH IT
That is what they bank on, wearing you down so you just go away.
I have now found out that it is illegal to sell Advocate over the internet from foreign shores, as well as YOU'RE NEEDING A PRESCRIPTION FOR IT. Mine came from Singapore of all places ... and that what I received may not even have been the genuine stuff.
Times are hard, it's nice to think we can save a few pennies on our pets requirements but....STAY AWAY FOR THIS COW BOY, RIPP-OFF OUTFIT.
p.s. ... and anyone on here who gives them a positive review, I bet you are bogus and the people behind this scam pretending to be 'satisfied' clients!!!!!!0 -

..... those of you who have had you money stolen from this SCAM site (such as above) - REPORT THEM to your bank. What they are doing is illigal and though it is a pain having to go though all the paperwork etc. think of the satisfaction you will get being credited the outstanding amount!
