Evening all
halight - hope the twin is ok!
thanks again for all the birthday wishes. I've been overwhelmed by the amount of people who have send me wishes on here/by phone/text/facebook :A.
I've had a lovely day. Relaxing massage followed by lunch and shopping. I didn't buy anything though, always the way when you have money to burn :rotfl:.
The girls bought me an awesome gift - a giant world map and flag pins
I've wanted one for ages to put up on my wall and put pins in all the places I've been to around the world! I need to get a board to stick in on first so will google that tonight.
Just spoke to my mum and it turns out my 16 year old cousin is pregnant (remember I posted 2 weeks ago about seeing her google search). Apparently she is keeping it and is okay with the situation. But she hasn't told her parents yet
and they will not react positively. So far only her BF, my nan and my mum have been told. So I don't know whether just to wait for her to tell me or send her a message offering my support.
I'm having a quiet evening in as don't want to overdo it whilst I'm still not 100%. Gonna make some yummy food and watch Glee!
Have a good evening all

I'm fine Bitsy thanks, just not feeling like I have much to say for myself for a change

Flutteryby I have just had a delicious dinner I wanted to tell you about. Cut a block of tofu into ten slices about 3-4mm think, sandwich two slices together with garlic puree and some black pepper and seasoning, brush with olive oil and griddle (I pit mine in the George) two sandwiches for a portion. Then seperately slice up about six or seven mushrooms, fry lightly with some seasoning and butter or oil. Add two tablespoons of cream and reduce to make a sauce. I had it with a large green salad and it was delicious.

Mmmm sounds yum! Apart from the mushrooms, I hate them! I still can't find non-Cauldron tofu anywhere local. I've only tried 2 healthfood shops though, and Holland&Barratt. When I'm working next in my remote office in 2 weeks time I'll have a look in the town there as they have more shops

I've never been mad for mushrooms, but have learned to love them on this diet, and am happy to eat them now. It would be nice with a spicy tometo sauce too I think. It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your window

happy belated birthday to Essexgirl, and happy birthday to flutterby - loved your dress btw, very Audrey Hepburn, I love that style, its so classy.
where has the day gone eh? this time next week it will still be light, theres a lovely thought.
got two loads on the line at 7.30 this morning, and just about to iron it, it smells so lovely and fresh. AF arrived today, so all I really want to do is lie on the sofa and eat the chocolate I gave up for lent!
Was a bit chuffed today when I picked up a pair of low heeled boots in town £12 from £40, I have been after a pair for months, perfect for the length of my trousers and comfy to walk to work in.
DD had tea with her granny today, so its our very cheap meal night tonight, something on toast. Think I might plead tummy ache so DH can sort that out!
have a lovely evening all! x0 -

Flutterby - I would send her a message. I would imagine it will mean a lot to her knowing you are there offering support.
Lowesy - You have a big heart, that poor girl. You obviously offer her so much more than she has known.
Halight - Hope twin two doesn't decide to be like her sister! Hope she is well soon.
Evening All
Just had DD in tears as she has realised that she has put on quite a bit of weight since she went to Oz. We were away at the weekend and Dsil's family are all quite heavy. I think she has decided that she doesn't want to be any heavier than she is so we are doing something about it. She has been really good and spoken quite openly and I shall help her. I will even go to the gym with her which I hate!
Went to visit friends this afternoon who are celebrating their ruby wedding anniversary, I bought them a rose tree thing (can you tell I am not a gardener). It has a label on it that says its variety is ruby (especially for 40ths) and couldn't think of anything else to get them. I hope they like it (DD says it was a rubbish pressie!).
All the washing including bedding dried outside today as it was lovely and dry and blowy. Will tackle the ironing tomorrow. Have a good evening all. Take care. XX0 -
camelot - aaaah i think it's a lovely present, Hope DD calms down soon :cool:You know your getting old when yougo to the pub sit outsideand admire the hanging basket
