os daily Monday 21st March 2011

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Monday 21st March. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

    Good morning all,
It is grey here, but dry and not frosty. Will get the bathmats out on the line today.

Going out with friends tonight so no dinner to cook this evening.

Need to think of some way of using up some of the leftovers from the weekend. Think I'll make lo roast potatoes, cauliflower & green beans into a veggie cheese using lo cheese & bacon sauce. Then the three of us can have that for lunch. Then working all afternoon.

Should do a lot of housework this morning :( Not one of my areas of expertise. But after a weekend of baking and cooking for 8 this weekend (unexpected additional visitor) the kitchen is in great need of TLC! (Along with the rest of the house!!!)

It is amazing how work planning becomes so attractive when housework beckons:)

Hugs to all who need or want.
    Happy Monday, Silver x

    Morning All!

Back to work today, the sun is shining but no doubt it's still chilly out there. OH is day off today so will leave him a tiny list to do while i'm gone:D
Just having my coffee and kiddies are still sleeping, loving the peace but will be shattered soon!

Going to try my hand at flying today even if I only get to level one. Got to start somewhere. Keeping things tidy is an impossible task when you're packing to move. Still, all being well it will be the last and it's our very own house :T
Made tea yesterday when I had a massive cook off so ricotta, spinach and smoked ham cannelloni.

Morning everyone - the wanderer returns!

The sun is so bright this morning, it was like a fireball at 6.00a.m. just amazing.

Fridge is almost empty though I have got some casserole out of the freezer. Need to get some veggies on the way home (am in Leeds today) so that we don't get rickets!! :rotfl::rotfl:

I got a new job last week - well, a new role within the same organisation really - and am so very :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j Doldrums will be over soon. Couldn't help singing 'I'm on my way from misery to happiness today..' for the whole of Thursday and Friday.

Right - need to hit the shower, have breakfast ( ) and get my act together. Have only read yesterday's thread so hope that everyone is well, getting well or almost well.

PS in edit: just read that others have jobs in the balance so my fingers are crossed tightly for them. And happy birthday FB too.

    Morning all
It's a bit chilly here today, hubby's been dropped at the station with his packup, chicken sarnies with HM bread, I didn't use my breadmaker & made it by hand & it is yummy. The fish have been fed, the veggies in the garden have been uncovered, some washing has been spread over the radiators & the DW unloaded & reloaded. I need to set off for work soon & I'm full of joy at the prospect, one person who was made redundant is fighting it, so now they need to find someone else to get rid of.
Tea tonight is sausages with bubble & squeak using leftover veg from yesterday.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Morning Silver and welcome to miecherox,

:bdaycake:Happy Birthday to Flutterby, have a great day xx

Cold but bright here, will get more washing on the go today :j
    loving this drying weather.

Dinner today is a bit of brisket, roasties and veg :j,looking forward to that.

The usual clean and tidy through today, and then I want to get into the garden, I am very behind with my seeds too, so want to get started on that too.

Went out for a lovely long walk yesterday, took mums dog, she runs the whole time, its as if she is making the most of it, she normally only gets a run around the park, so she loves coming with us.

Marie, big hugs to you, hope you are as ok as possible xx

    Have good days all xx
