    Hey Everyone,

Just nipping in to say hello as busy on other threads tonight. I've not had a chance to catch up so will do that tomorrow, just wanted to let you know that I am starting from scratch tomorrow and am determined to make a real effort as I am feeling fatter and frumpier than ever!!!

Completely let loose on my holiday and ended up eating and drinking everything in sight (food was included in the package so might as well make the most of it, lol). I've had a V.stressful few months and have never needed a holiday so much in my life (despite only going to Disneyland 6 months ago!) so decided to forget everything, including the diet, and just enjoy myself.
This resulted in a 4-5 lb gain :( Not great, but I don't regret it. I can't remember what my weight was before the holiday and my wii is playing up so will just start from scratch. Fred can you please put my start weight as 14 st 11 .

Oh yes, and my Polar FT4 is coming tomorrow! :D V.excited, I think that it will help me get off to a good start and really encourage me to exercise more. Will let you know what I think of it.

Eric: What type of the Total Greek yogurt do you eat? Full fat, 2% or 0%?

Usually I go for full fat because I don't trust low fat/no fat stuff, but I wasn't sure so I bought one of each :p

i use the 0% not because i want a low fat one but because i have to stick to my cal allowance for lunch and the 0% makes it fit, when i am in maintenance i will go full fat

Hi Matryoshka - Yes gardening! Some consider this activity a form of exercise. However, well exceeded the 30min target which was set to take into account any bad weather. Also doing my usual cycling exercise.

Absolutely. It burns tonnes of calories. Gardening is just not for me :rotfl:

    Fred, towards my challenge please:

    Fit test - 25 minutes

Max Interval Circuit - 59 minutes

The Fit test took it out of me so wasn't on top form during the circuit. Fit test shouldn't be joined with another workout imo. It's a workout on it's own :eek:

Arrrrgghhhh all that effort and the result, STS. I shouldn't grumble though, I ate handsomely on Friday and Saturday, I was sensible and chose the lower fat options but ate 2500 cals each day easily. I also consumed litres upon litres of fluid yesterday (750 ml per 45 mins) maybe that's weigHing me down :rotfl:

It's is always hard for me when I am doing something that requires a lot of effort, if I don't eat I 'bonk' and will end up failing to finish if I do eat I get upset because I didn't lose weight.

Well back to square one an 1200 calories a day. I don't have anything epic planned for a few weeks so fingers crossed.

    if I don't eat I 'bonk'

If we are talking about the same 'bonk'; bonking is a good exercise as it elevates the heart :rotfl::D

:rotfl: if only! Sadly not it is just when your body starts using your PhosproCreatine system instead of your aerobic one. It means you are taking your energy from a source not appropriate for endurance sport. You lose concentration, feel generally terrible and it feels like your body is giving up. No where nears fun as the other type of bonking lol :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Maybe that should be in the monthly challenge haha

I'm delighted to say that my weight seems to be going down at last. I'm 1.2 kg less than I was a week ago on Monday, 0.7 kg less than Wednesday, so we'll see what I get to on Wednesday morning, which is when I normally post on here for the chart.

Later this morning, 45 minutes stretch and tone in the WI Hall.

Yes, gardening is definitely an activity which burns calories and tones muscles. Bending, sweeping, raking, pulling weeds out, trotting to and fro putting weeds and grass-clippings into the green bin, and in the fresh air too. It's definitely a very healthy activity, especially if you're growing things that you can pick and eat fresh. I'm allowed to eat veg tomorrow so we'll go and get some nice fresh broccoli and then have a chicken salad for tea-time with fresh salad from outside the back door - looking forward to it.
