    Afternoon :D

Harvest Festival this morning....don't know why but the school assemblies always make me weep :( Anyway it was fantastic :D Strrictly come Dancing with fruit and veg-don't ask :rotfl:a song in french  didn't understand a word  he kids are so enthusiastic it was brill x

Friend has been this morning for a birthday (her birthday) coffee and she asked if we were going to the bakery for a bun and i thought NOOOO!!! More spending money  Anyway she paid she said it was her treat as i usually provide HM goodies :D:T

Had some fab news last night ...... my best friend sent me a link for Calender Girls at Leeds Grand, do i want to go? Theres me cursing to myself thinking YES but i cant too much too save for etc  And then she said it was to be my BIRTHDAY present from her :j:T:j:T So i said YES please...we are going at the ed of March the tickets are all booked..what a lovely friend i have i am so lucky :D Really i cant believe that someone has done that for me no-one ever done anything like this for me..... ever!!!!!!

Just got to vac up and walk poochy and then its the start of my working week :(

The big news is I AM STOPPING SMOKING ON MONDAY 24TH OCTOBER

My reasoning is, the DCs are at XOHs for the whole week starting on monday morning, i dont start work until Wed evening so i will have 72hrs on my own to get over the intial withdrwal symptons  I am thinking lots of dog walking :D And then i am back at work so i will be occupied for the rest of the week, although my DB will be the target if i am grumpy (will be getting my own back) :rotfl:

Thats the plan, i have tried and failed miserably in the past but if i am to run a 4x4 and have savings and see my DCs get wed and have DCs of their own it is something that i have to do :D

enjoy the rest of your day x

    Hi there Twizzle

I've just found your diary tonight and subscribed. You're doing brilliantly. :T

No wonder you miss your kids, it must be quiet in the house without them. Please don't worry about them not wanting to come home. I'm guessing they're just having fun doing something different. :)

I'm so jealous of your smoking quit. I've tried to stop a million times and just can't manage it, though I feel another attempt coming on. It is the single biggest, needless drain on income for me. I'm pretty sure my debt equals the amount I've spent on cigs over the years. I'm rooting for you and will be joining you any day now.

This debt free lark is full of ups and downs, I'm finding. Hang in there, you'll feel better soon. One thing's for sure though, a cigarette doesn;t make anything better. Now if only I could take my own advice!

Smoking was taking up £42 of my weekly budget :eek::eek::eek::eek:

I remember feeling very tearful in the first few days of quitting too. I think it plays with your emotions, a lot. In fact, it's the madness of the first few days that puts me off trying again. I feel like I'm going totally off my head without cigs!

The good news is that, from what I remember, it gets better quite quickly. Then you spend the rest of the time waiting til you start again and munching 20 chocolate biscuits a day or 20 packets of crisps :D. (Or maybe that's just me...:o)

Hope you're getting a good sleep. You will definitely feel better in the morning.

    Sweet dreams

    :TMorning :D

Feeling a bit better this morning :D

Ani* - crisps, nuts, cheesey biscuits, chips, lollipops (these have helped greatly esp when driving) and finally chewy sweeties :o and so far i haven't put a pound on :T And i dont have to worry too much about the teeth ... as from Monday i will have my new gnashers :rotfl:

I had stinking headaches a the beginning of the week, strange happenings with my eyes  I think that is something to do with more oxygen in the blood stream ;) And OMG! vivid dreams (involving a New Zealand rugby player ) i think lack of an intemet (sp?) relationship inthe last couple of years may have something to do with this :rotfl:Enough said on that one :p

Last shift of the week :D Pay day:T Food shop  1 hour extra in bed and then i pick the DCs up :T

    Wage spend -

    £20 - Bertie
    £20 - fuel
£30/40 - Food (really need to stock the freezer)

Leaves me £20 BUT as i no longer smoke i only need £10 for emergencies for the week so i can stash £10 :T

Plan for the afternoon, calling at Berties for some knitting needles!!!!! I have challenged myself to learn to knit  Beritie is lending me the needles and DD has some wool upstairs so no spend :T Last time i did any knitting, and i use the term loosely!!!!! I was about 8yrs and knitted a very dodgey scarf for my huge cuddly dulux dog Percy :D Mmmm ...we will see

3pm onwards - put shopping away, walk poochy, make DCs beds up, soak in bath and relax :p it has to be said i have tied relaxing that much this week i should be in a deep state of tranquility :rotfl:that has not happened due to stopping smoking  i seem to be over the worst so will try and have a nice evening think i will watch Love Actually......but is that a good idea considering dream status :rotfl:I'm thinking a Harry Potter film may be a better option :rotfl:

Have a good weekend and i will be very muchly happier tomorrow :D

  • Thought I would reply to your post on your thread so your more likely to see it .

Firstly well done on still going strong on the no smoking:T:T:T
In a book I once read on one of my many attempts to stop smoking it says something like "you are a non smoker from the minute you put out a cigarette " happy days :T

When I gave up for a while previously I was very emotional I just went with the flow and did loads of housework :rotfl: but stress and exOH resulted in me not staying smoke free for long .

As for camping I go wherever the mood takes us although I must admit to only ever really been down south so if you have any recommendations then I'll swap you ;).

    Keep up the good work
