    threat of international intervention?

  • So he's promised not to fire on the protesters.

Never mind. Run them over with tanks. Spray a bit of poison gas perhaps. Or failing that just the old heavy army baton might do the job.

If we really want to upset Gadaffi, let's use the big secret weapon. Send Hilary Clinton over to have 'talks' with him. I can think of nothing more odious than that.

Isn't that sort of a good result? It's like those westerns where the cavalry arrive just in time, only this time they are actually still in bed back at the fort but the mere threat they might saddle up does the trick?

they may have declared a ceasefire but apparently they are still bombing the rebels. certainly a case of actions speaking louder than words.

Ceasefires rarely take force immediately - it usually takes a bit of time.

A ceasefire is in Gaddafi's interests now.

It seems we want Gaddafi to go.
Trouble is he don't wanna go.
A lot of the Libyan people want to get rid of him. But then, theres many that like having him around.
Should he stay or should he go now? If he stays there will be trouble
But what happens to all the pro-Gaddafi contingent should the rebels gain control? With our help obviously.
Be scores to settle no doubt.

Whatever he is, he isn't mad. He is very devious.

  • They are only pro-gaddafi all the time he holds the power as they believe he will hold it.

There will be no pro-gaddafi up rising if he goes as they are massively out numbered
