    You could also make a bread and butter pudding using cake instead of bread, I think that would be quite nice.

    google for a recipie, it's cut into squares or slices and dipped in thin icing usually chocolate) and then coconut...

    Or you could freeze for later use in similar types of dessert, I've done it loads with no problems.

    Cake, alcohol(optional), fruit, custard, cream. No jelly :)

    oh lammingtons! My aunt and uncle lived in Aus for years and when they opened a bakery here, they used to make them. Delicious.:D:j

    Brilliant ideas - I've never thouht of warming them a little in the microwave, worked a treat!

    Fritters. Simply slice, dip in batter and deep fry. You can coat one, or both, sides with jam if you like.

    You can make bread pudding with stale cake substituted for some of the bread.
