Just come back from ASDA where they had it on display for £179!!

It was only reduced in a few JL branches. I believe these were Welwyn, Edinburgh and Peterborough. Any JL should match another JL store pretty much on the spot, following a phone call to the store to verify that the price is indeed what the customer claims it is. Good luck!

I'm well chuffed with mine - not as "big" as it looks in the pictures, definately usable in most situations.

It takes lovely pictures, and is faster than my previous digital camera. Until now I've been using an Canon Ixus v3 (3mp), which in comparison takes dark, blurry pictures very slowly...

So, the S5600 is definately worth seeking out at £112. BTW, none left in East Anglia.

Ordered ours yesterday evening for £112, held for local store collection until 6pm tomorrow. We'll be on the doorstep at 9am! This camera was competitively priced when released in July 2005 -- not that long ago -- but £112 is silly-money.

(For tecchies here, I've seen the S5600's RAW files post-processed in Photoshop up to an A3 size print. . . and it was astonishingly good. The 1GB card is essential for video memory, but with that installed, the recording quality is amongst the best around for something that isn't a camcorder).

It was Welwyn that I bought it from on Wednesday, the price at that time was £179. They only had the display model left after the one I got.

Strange - it was Wednesday that I got Oxford Street to match Welwyn. They phoned Welwyn who confirmed they had it on sale for £112!
