Is there much of a delay between taking each photo with this camera can anyone tell me? This is what frustrates me about my digital one, It's 5 years old now, so might be down to the age of mine.
Thanks
What make is your current camera? I had a Canon A60 and that was noticeably laggy, upgraded to a Canon S2 and that was a vast improvement. Worth mentioning though that only a DSLR gets rid of shutter lag altogether.0 -

I have not taken much notice so speed cant be a problem, I would have noticed if it was slow. I have just tested and its 2-3 seconds without using flash and 3 seconds with flash. It only takes 2 seconds to take a picture from turning the camera on, thans with everything set to auto. You have to take into consideration the shutter speed setting your using . Could be anything up to 30 seconds.
this is taken from there site
The FinePix S5600 Zoom is designed to increase the likelihood of you getting a shot. Not only is it switched-on and ready in a double-quick 1.1 seconds, but its reaction to you pressing the shutter release is much quicker than previous models – a mere 0.01 seconds. You won't be missing out on much action with the S5600 Zoom.MSE:-)MoneySpendingExpert (-:0 -

DSLR means Digital single-lens reflex in my findings0

oooops I stand corected. My memory is not working yet this morning
A digital single lens reflex or DSLR camera is a single-lens reflex camera (SLR) which records images using electronic sensor instead of film. Like SLRs, DSLRs are often used by professional photographers and advanced amateurs
SLR. (Single Lens Reflex). This means the camera has a viewfinder that sees through the lens (TTL) by way of a 45°-angled mirror that flips up when the shutter fires and allows the light to strike the image sensor (or film). Basically, what you see is what you get.
TTL. (Through the Lens). Used when talking about either an auto focus or auto exposure system that works "through" the camera's lens.MSE:-)MoneySpendingExpert (-:0 -
