Hi ashgun! I guess for accessories, the best websites -- in my experience; other MSErs may have different preferences -- to visit are:

    http://www.mymemory.co.uk/

    http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=777

They both discount heavily on standard UK pricing for digital camera batteries and memory cards. Personally, I find mymemory an easier and more user-friendly site to negotiate than 7day shop because 7day's front end is a bit of a clunker.

I've now ordered five lots of goods from mymemory, in three separate deliveries, in the past three weeks, and all have come through exactly on time, the last one complete with half a dozen complimentary Christmas chocs wrapped in mymemory silver wrapping -- very nice.

Two deliveries included the Lowepro camera bag at £9.99p post free (mentioned earlier in this thread) which has to be one of the best bargain buys around: it's superb for any digital camera. I'm not sure now if it's back in stock with mymemory because someone else here said they couldn't get hold of one before Christmas.

Mymemory was offering an additional 20% off purchases placed on Christmas Day using the promotion code MYXMAS; it might be worth a try today to see if the code still holds, you never know with these things. 7Day shop is supposedly having a sale now, but I haven't checked the website so don't know if it is.

One thing I'd strongly recommend against is sourcing any of the above from eBay. For instance, mymemory has an eBay 'shop' offering exactly the same items at the same price as its Jersey website. However, the eBay shop won't consolidate an order, so it's £3.95p per item, which quickly mounts up if you're ordering batteries, camera card, etc. The Jersey website merely charges £3.95p per order.

Hope this helps -- I'm not knocking pixmania, incidentally, but I've always stayed clear of them because I think they're a French outfit, not based in the UK, and some customers do seem to have encountered difficulties (according to posts on Pricerunner) as a result. So it may well be that you could "package" the Amazon camera with accessories from the other two websites (though don't forget to check Amazon itself -- making sure, though, that you're ordering from Amazon and not an Amazon Marketplace seller, otherwise P&P will only be free on the camera, not on anything else) -- for the same price, or less, than the Pixmania deal.

    Good luck!

    :D

Clever stuff ashgun! No idea about world of bags and its charging policies but it ought to be OK in view of what they've told you.

Gwent: if our family wasn't already stuffed full of cameras, I'd be taking up your offer like a shot!!!

Thanks Op. I managed to get one of these before Christmas for my brother and his wife. Needless to say they were chuffed to bits!
