i was merely asking a question as we own property ourselves and to work it out with stepchildren etc...also as some people say attitude is a bit of a problem. so this is something that needs to be sorted earlier on rather than later inlife

Sideways answer, but my grandad died last year. I was closer to him than I was to either of my parents. Every penny went to my gran (his one and only wife, married 6 weeks to the day they met, until the day he died). But even if he had left me every penny of his not insignificant wealth, it would have been nothing compared to what he did leave me. He left me the knowledge that I was loved unconditionally, that I never had to make him proud of me because I did that just by being me. Can't buy that.

This is why you've probably not really got definitive answers.

if you dont live with them how do you sort out inheritance issues?

I think you will probably get better responses if you give more detail and be less ambiguous in your posts.
