    But if the OP now edits their post to delete the personal info, it will still be showing in your reply alfiesmum!

    Excellent point, well presented George my man. Sorted now. Something tells me the OP isn't going to pop back in a hurry to change the original post however.

    Going off topic ever so slightly George, I wrote to you in 1989, and you never wrote back, so I don't know why I'm talking to you now.
  • I did respond to every letter that I received.
    My reply may have been lost in the postal system, but you never know, it may turn up one day. You've just got to have faith.

    HI
    i send it to 85 why is showing 86 can someone help me plss..
    If nobody is in when the delivery is made then parcels are often left at a neighboring address.
    It's possible that in such a situation a neighbor may decide they like the contents and nick it or replace it before the parcel is collected by the person it was addressed to.

    You wouldn't take the risk of doing that to your neighbour. In cases like this, there may be an eventual police investigation.

    Or it could have been intercepted en route to it's destination, and both buyer and seller are telling the truth.....ooooo! It's like Columbo isn't it.

    Not really, you find out who did it at the start of Columbo! :D
  • Did the person you returned it to sign for it?

    barmonkey, firstly - your sig, I agree 100%!!!!!

    Secondly;

    Hmm, sounds complicated. He's asking you to send the pc back? But you have already sent it, but he says its a brick not the PC? I wonder if him and his next door neighbour are in it together? Or if he's just nicked it.

    As for the whole I've moved thing - you've sent the PC to the paypal address, which is the right thing to do.

    As far as I can tell, you've returned it via tracked method, so you'll win? If he says there's nothing in it but a brick its up to him to somehow prove this?
