Phones4U - T-Mobile package (problem)
Comments

The problem is that if you do it outside the 7 day limit they may turn round and say you cannot cancel ....that would leave you with a phone that has inherent battery life problems and a dodgy signal ....you may find a better network signal and a phone more suited to your need elsewhereIf I read that right, if I email both T-Mobile to cancel the service and Phones4U to cancel the package service (which is T-Mobile) I would then need to go into the shop to get another network provider within that package rate (which is £25 per month at present, incl phone). That will cover me? I am just worried it may back fire and cause problems. It's not just about the money0 -

Sorry, I know it may sound like I'm being totally thicky here (
) but I always like to double check. So I am in a position, even though Phones4U say they do not do a cooling off period, to cancel the WHOLE package including the handset and T-Mobile? as long as I do it today and ASAP.
I have paid £150 upfront on the handset and that will be OK to get back? (when returning the handset to store)
Sorry for the questions, I just like to make sure.0 -
T Mobile allow you to cancel within 7 days due to coverage problems ....you have taken the contract out through a 3rd party who won't be happy but you can insist.
T mobile will only charge you for usage that you have used up to now ...the deposit you paid has to be returned. It's not just about the money0 -

I am not sure how to go about the cancellation process. Obviously it's through the sites via email (I will have to find the email contacts) but will a phone call to help, such as one to T-Mobile?
Thank you for all your help, it is very much appreciated.0 -
The important thing is to advise them in some way before the time is up that you wish to cancel ....pref by durable media should you need to prove your case later on.I am not sure how to go about the cancellation process. A simple email to both customer services outining your situation with details of phone number/contract number etc etc
You can always dot the I's and cross the T's later on ....the important thing is not to be out of time.
Phone calls unless recorded may go missing etc etcIt's not just about the money0 -
Something I have only just noticed is that when I had the package, I paid £150 upfront for the handset, then the £25.54 per month on the 24 month, 600 mins, 500 text, flexible booster.
Yet on their website, I can get the handset for FREE on the exact same package tarriff. . . .

According to the P4U website. . . .
Pay Monthly Phones, Broadband Dongles and SIM Only Contracts
Phones4u does not operate a 14 day return period on Pay Monthly Contracts.0 -

Jonno I have to go out now ....P4U don't operate a 14 day policy for returns ...however T Mobile do when it is for coverage issues and that is also passed onto P4U also if you had bough online you would have been covered by the DSR's but thats another story lol ...you have got the option of leaving P4U out of the loop if you don't wish to argue with them ....meanwhile the clock is ticking good luckIt's not just about the money0 -

...................Just had a look at the small print on my agreement and it says under (Refunds & Exchanges):
"contract handsets may be refunded within 14 days of the date of sale if the network coverage is considered to be poor at the customers contractual address and no alternative network agreement can be established. Cancellation is subject to network provider approval"0
