That price comparison site that's been posted, I've noticed some of the items are out of date. So while it may be useful for some it may hinder others or completely mess up their DTD shop. Not sure if it is such a good idea posting it. A better idea if someone is posting deal is to check them before posting. Just a suggestion. :)

Just received this as a response from Tesco

Thank you for your email regarding the recent changes to the Terms and Conditions of our Price Check scheme

The vast majority of our customers who use Price Check find that Tesco is cheaper than Asda. However a very small number of customers have used Price Check just to hunt down products which a competitor has on promotion and to make some money by using our guarantee. As a result we have introduced a cap on the amount you can redeem from the scheme, which is set at £20.

Whilst I appreciate your concerns over this amendment, I am pleased to say it will affect only a small number of customers, as fewer than one in 5,000 have been awarded vouchers over £20. Regrettably we had to set this to avoid manipulation of the scheme by a small number of people.

We introduced the cap yesterday but due to a technical error this was applied historically. We have now been able to resolve this problem, and any customer who submitted a price check on before 12 Noon on the 24th March will have their full amount up to £100 honoured. Please be aware that any queries submitted after this time, and going forward, will be capped at £20. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Thank you for bringing this matter to the attention of our Chief Executive’s Office.

    Kind Regards

so let me get this right...i did my shop at 11.15 yesterday morning....i then went to pick up my son from pre-school and make lunch and therefore didnt get on the computer until after midday therefore i miss out...someone tell me how that is fair, surely it should be the time you went through the checkout????

I will be quite happy with £20 but it is misleading to say dtd when you only get £20. I will miss out on most of my dtd from yesterday cos the t&c updated whilst I was out and I was unaware of this
saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

  • Buying tmw as no vouchers sent out today....boo!!! Has anyone had any luck with duracell plus batteries? They are 2x 4pack of AA and AAA for £3.50 @ A and £2.89 each @ T, seems like a good deal.

Tesco seems to be changing a lot of prices to match Asda now, or change the description so they come up as N/F.
Can anybody tell me if am right in saying Asda change their prices on a Monday and Tesco on a Thursday (both at midnight)?
So Monday first thing may well prove to be the best time to get bargains??
