you know about it...everyone on this site now knows about it...bbc news covered it...dailymail, etc...It's clear now I think!
Stop being so greedy! These are the new rules and they are clear...nothing to complain about.Well I complained because Tesco are not making it adequately clear in their material that there is a £20 cap - you have to search the small print. Many people would (say) buy 6 bottles of wine to save the 5% then be very angry to learn they had missed out on perhaps £40 of DTD thanks to that £20 clause being hidden away.

How to complain
It is fast, free and easy to complain to the ASA.
The types of complaints we can look into include:- Misleading, harmful or offensive advertisements
- difficulty getting goods or a refund for items bought by mail order or through television shopping channels
- promotions that are unfairly run or special offers that have left you disappointed
- unwanted mail from companies sent either by post, e-mail, text message or fax
- data capture and protection of privacy
I suggest a complaint along the lines that Tesco are 'breaking the spirit of the promotion' :rotfl:0 -

Actually, Tesco themselves said the idea behind the scheme is transparency for the customer, if that was the case then they wouldn't need to mislead their customers by excluding any mention of the cap on vouchers unless you scrutinise the T & C's0 -

Am I being greedy by spending over £150 a week on my shopping as I have a large family?
I then enter my receipt and find that £50 of my shopping is cheaper at Asda so by Tesco's T&C's - CLEARLY ADVERTISED ALL OVER MY STORE WITH LEAFLETS - I am due £100 DTD.
How is that being greedy? Or should I be devious and split my shops clearly showing to anyone what I am doing?
Seriously Tesco are in the wrong here plain and simple.
I read the article by MSE this morning and 2 things jumped out at me as wrong.
Tesco has changed the conditions of its price match guarantee against rival Asda in an attempt prevent shoppers using a loophole by buying items simply to get money back, which made some customers hundreds of pounds each.
Where is the loophole? Tesco guarenteed your shopping to be cheaper than ASDA or they would give you double the differnce.
How can we make hundreds of pounds each never mind get money back???
You get given vouchers that can only be spent in store on certain things - no money given to the customer.2014 Swagbucks goal - £50/ £300 - 16/01/2014
£100/£300 - 26/02/2014

Just received this as a response from Tesco
Thank you for your email regarding the recent changes to the Terms and Conditions of our Price Check scheme
The vast majority of our customers who use Price Check find that Tesco is cheaper than Asda. However a very small number of customers have used Price Check just to hunt down products which a competitor has on promotion and to make some money by using our guarantee. As a result we have introduced a cap on the amount you can redeem from the scheme, which is set at £20.
Whilst I appreciate your concerns over this amendment, I am pleased to say it will affect only a small number of customers, as fewer than one in 5,000 have been awarded vouchers over £20. Regrettably we had to set this to avoid manipulation of the scheme by a small number of people.
We introduced the cap yesterday but due to a technical error this was applied historically. We have now been able to resolve this problem, and any customer who submitted a price check on before 12 Noon on the 24th March will have their full amount up to £100 honoured. Please be aware that any queries submitted after this time, and going forward, will be capped at £20. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you.
Thank you for bringing this matter to the attention of our Chief Executive’s Office.

Complaint to ASA done, I can't see them pulling the Promo as it would be shockingly bad publicity!
Also I've sent the wine example to asa and said there's nothing instore telling you about the limit which thus makes you do a more expensive shop than you would!0 -
