Thanks for the replies on the Hardy's Crest, will stick the receipt through as it is then and keep my fingers crossed. It's the red I bought, not the Chardonnay so hopefully it will work ok.
My local is very small so doesn't stock a lot of what is working (e.g. no Nivea or roasting pans) but I don't think there's any other MSErs around here as they've still got Olay Aqua day creams/Magners/Turner Road/Hardy's sat on the shelf. Haven't tried spending a voucher at that one though! I bought new vinyl silk paint, brushes, mop+bucket, a mirror and other bits for the house using the biggest voucher I had but had to go to a larger store that stocks non-food for that.
Thanks everyone so much for all the help and support on here, and really happy the £20 retrospective vouchers got fixed - glad now that I wasn't TOO rude to the CS manager I got through to0 -

Wow, lots to catch up on today, only popped out for a few hours!
Went to return some wine as they were leaking, one had a definate hairline crack in it, the other two were soggy but had been kept seperate, they gave me a cash refund which was kind of them. I had to wait in a long queue, someone had returned a massive trolly full of kellogs, wine, razor's, roasting pans and nivea just before I arrived and the customer service advisor looked extremely annoyed about the whole thing, luckily it wasn'ther that served me.
Straight up to the second floor in search of a sat nav, found the one I was after took it over to the counter and the lady looked very confused, had to explain what it was twice and she called a colleague over to help. I explained what to do and eventually she caved and scanned itthrough, I tried to use my printed NOTW voucher to be told they never accept printed vouchers which was why she was very dubious of the dtd one. Anyway all went through no probs.
So that's me out of the running now, I simply can't be doing with trips back and forth. I feel I have done well, nowhere near as well as many of you it seems but giving my initial spend, I ended up paying equivelant of half the price of the sat nav and had a few treats along the way and nappies, wipes etc for dd, mostly overpriced treats mind, but treats none the less.
My store has genuinely been fantastic the whole time, no accusations, no snide looks. Well doneComping wishlist for 2017

That's just plain bloody minded. Nobody wanted my receipt yesterday when I used my DTD voucher. I could easily have come back later and asked for my money back on the 6 bottles of wine. Nobody would have known about the DTD voucher.
Of course - I won't - because I'm HONEST.
Unlike your 'friend'.
This is getting a bit silly now, we shouldnt be slagging each other off on here, we are simply sharing experiences with each other.
arronc's friend has stuck to the T&C's as far as I can read, he hasnt cheated Tesco and still has to spend his money in store, whether it be on baked beans, a television or wine etc...what is the problem??
Can we move on to something else now?
Also...I cannot believe that Tesco is still selling Turner Road for 9.99 a bottle after all this time!0 -

How has he not been honest, he has not done anything wrong, do tell me what he has done wrong? He's stuck to the T+C he explained the situation to the CS and she agreed. And no you couldn't of asked for you money back as pointed out above, you could of asked for a gift card to the vlaue of the wine, so you could re-spend it on something else. So no financial advantage, so not fruad. You may not agree with what he did for you own reasons, but he has not committed fraud, simple as.0 -

I returned 5 this morning and handed over my receipt. The receipt had clearly written on it that a DTD voucher had been used. I think I used a £100 DTD voucher and spend the rest on card.
They gave me a refund back to my card for the wine.
Just because I paid for the wine using a voucher, shouldnt mean I dont have the right to return it. If they had given me store credit I would have been happy but they offered to put it back on my card.
That is perfectly HONEST because you didn't claim a DTD voucher on the wine and subsequently also return the wine.0 -
but what i don't agree is if you have already used the receipt to claim ANOTHER voucher then returned the items
come on that is not on!:(:(:(
I did it when they issued the £20 vouchers (before i knew they had reinstated them) and frankly was cheesed off, BUT the olay creams I took back were the day creams that i didn't get DTD on.Sealed Pot challenge aiming for £400 by Christmas

Ooops pressed Thanks by mistake how can I take that back?
The DISHONESTY is claiming the voucher and ALSO getting your money back (or gift card, same thing) on the SAME GOODS.0
