This is SUCH a mess for Tesco, because while limiting the DTD to £20, they are still comparing everyone's baskets and showing them just how much cheaper Asda would have been and what the true DTD would have been. It won't last long.
    Hope is not a strategy.

The £20.00 cap became effective on our website from noon on Thursday the 24th of March. Regrettably, due to some technical issues the changes were applied historically. This meant that a minority of customers found their vouchers reverted to £20.00.

This issue has now been resolved with the £20.00 cap now being effective for requests submitted from Friday 25th of March. If you have submitted a price check prior to this date please re check your link where the original voucher should now be visible.

If this is true thats great news and what they should have done from the start, however i would advise against anyone resubmitting their details, given the little addition of about how by clicking submit you accept the new terms and conditions..

Could you tell us the name of the sender of that email? or just PM me if you wish it to remain private.

How is it dishonest. His voucher would clearly stated he paid using a 'COUPON'.

He buys wine, returns home enters receipt details, get anaother voucher, and so on for as many times as tesco allow him. He hen decides this is wine is horrible, So returns the value of the wine say £200 for arguments sake. So the value of the wine is the same that has been issued to him in vouchers. CS women agrees and gives him gift card to that value, similar to a voucher? So I ask you again there is no financial advantage. No extra cash made from doing this AND has stuck to tesco's own terms and conditions. So you are either jealous or don't understand.

i for one am in no way jealous of your 'friends' situation lol :rotfl:

How has he not been honest, he has not done anything wrong, do tell me what he has done wrong? He's stuck to the T+C he explained the situation to the CS and she agreed. And no you couldn't of asked for you money back as pointed out above, you could of asked for a gift card to the vlaue of the wine, so you could re-spend it on something else. So no financial advantage, so not fruad. You may not agree with what he did for you own reasons, but he has not committed fraud, simple as.

OK, ths is the last I am going to say on this as it is just clogging up the thread. One simple question: did your 'friend' spend the DTD vouchers linked to the original receipts and then return the items from those same receipts and receive gift cards? If so, then that is wrong, plain and simple.

You are only allowed to spend one DTD voucher per transaction i.e. there is no way you could have generated a DTD voucher big enough to buy a TV (well, not without a van to take the original stuff away and a MASSIVE fuss at the till if Tesco were stupid enough to even issue a DTD voucher for £441).

ermmmm im presumming all the wine purchased by ur 'friend' bar the 1st lot was purchased using 'rollover vouchers' so the £441 on the moneycard was pretty much all voucher money is that correct..... I really hope for ur friends sake they didnt take his name and address when purchasing telly if this was the case lol id say this was pretty dodgy ground if only with the £100 per month rule they have .....

It does not matter if he has, he has not done anythign wrong lol

I cant see how they can fail to understand what you are saying, you have returned the items and tesco have refunded you.

I know I can't explain it anymore lol, If they had given him cash I could understand but they haven't lol and even then it would be there fault. Fraud is all about deceiving people, He has not deceived TESCO in one way just chose to spend them in a different way.

This kind of thing regularly happens, where people decide their own level of greed is the moraly acceptable level of greed ;)
