Thanks!
Surely its not just people on forums looking for ways to make money - doesnt everyone stock up when things are on special offer?
Exactly. But this must be the only case in history of people stocking up on things that are more expensive! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Tesco Rep-said they were trying to offer their customers the best prices. They expected that average pay out would have been £4-so their offer £20 per shop dtd is great. She did get a little rattled when presenter pointed out they would not need to payout if they were cheaper.

A spokesperson for Asda told the BBC: "Customers aren't daft, so if you're going to make a big bold price claim, you'd better be able to back it up or they'll quickly find you out."
You've got that right Mr/Mrs Asda spokesperson! :rotfl:0 -

"A very small number of people have used Price Check just to seek out products which a competitor has on promotion and to make some money out of our guarantee.
"We commend their ingenuity, but this isn't why we set up the guarantee."
The group said that fewer than one in 5,000 customers had claimed more than £20.

Maybe Tesco's will stop 'sending' vouchers out every day, but release them every 36 hours as in T&C's to prevent us from spending every day and claiming another voucher on the voucher that has been spent..therefore they will be 'releasing' less vouchers and saving themselves some money. I hope not though!Born to glitch0

The funny thing is that you are all statistics, we all know that statistics are manipulated to say whatever they want.
It doesn't matter that this fiasco has cost tesco a fortune, they will only display the statistics that sales increased 7% etc etc. Increasing share prices etc etc.
I doubt that this has cost tesco as much as people think, There will be 10 times as many people paying their inflated prices who dont check their recepits which in effect cancels out all your DTD vouchers.
I'm probably guilty of being one of these customers as I generally tend to check my recepit for initial overcharges then throw it away, but I don't do big shops or even shop in tesco often.
Even this thread HASNT tempted me to go to tesco. And without this thread I would be none the wiser to their deal as I haven't seen it on TV and the signs are tiny in store.
You've all proved to me asda is cheaper, it's also closer too.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
