Lol- I bet tesco are wishing they hadn't cheesed off the 5000 now- when we were getting our dtd no questions asked Tesco were still upholding their reputation- I bet they wish they'd left the T&C's alone as I bet this bad publicity we've caused costs them an awful lot more than our dtd claims!! :)
Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs
  • Just back from Tescos (very large store) and decided to use my £30.02 DTD. Absolutely no problem at all, cashier was very polite took my voucher scanned it and initialled my original receipt allowing me retain it. Simples, pheww

"The group said that fewer than one in 5,000 customers had claimed more than £20".

And the other 4999 were confused by the non-availabilty of the price checker

    5000!

This thread has been viewed 494,000 times, I'd be amazed if only 1% did DTD.

Maybe Tesco's will stop 'sending' vouchers out every day, but release them every 36 hours as in T&C's to prevent us from spending every day and claiming another voucher on the voucher that has been spent..therefore they will be 'releasing' less vouchers and saving themselves some money. I hope not though!

It would make no difference if they did that.

And people have said that last week there were no vouchers on Friday, they were sent on Saturday morning instead!

On the DOWN side, now half the world KNOWS asda is cheaper because of this fiasco, I hope asda don't take advantage and sneakily increase their prices thinking we wont notice.

But judging by the comments asda has made, there not daft and they know we arent either.
