The 'spirit of the scheme' is a very loose term meaning they can pretty much do what they want.:(:(

exactly, even if you are playing by the rules (i.e. within the £100 limit etc.) then they can reject your voucher.

so using the nivea 400ml, as an example:

you'll get about £8 back with this item - not a big voucher really. but, it could very easily be rejected. :(

i guess this also works on multiple products. i.e. if a product is on offer and i buy 2 of these. then i DTD on both products? (subject to "offer not being abused obviously")

Is there anything to stop me buying (say) 10 x roasters?

Nothing at all, but if we all did this, its the quickest way to get this offer pulled !

I would stick to just a couple on each receipt :)

From Martin's website I can see that he's scheduled to make an appearance on The One Show on BBC1 tonight (bottom of the page) - he might even hint at this then!

    anyone else experienced such trouble?

I spent two vouchers instore today on separate transactions without any problem. The shop assistant took the reciepts which I had attached to the voucher and, after asking if I wanted it back, binned it. She didnt ask anyone or anything so I asked her if she had had many. She said none but asked me how I had got them. Another operator behind her mentioned she had had one for £60 yesterday. They both agreed it was great. I think the experience really does depend on the store. Hope CS sort it out for you. x

***tesco price check terms and conditions have been updated***

for those who cba reading what they are, here is my sum up:

if your voucher gets accepted - :D

if it doesn't, no point in arguing, just go home - :(

Looks like our days are numbered then...and it looks like our vouchers won't be honoured then...especially as someone else said they've got barcodes listed somewhere...

Bit worrying when technically we haven't done anything wrong...Surely they can't refuse all larger vouchers now it would be a PR nightmare, especially as peoppl will be out of pocket...

I would be interested to know when these new terms and conditions come into force...If today then surely all us who did their shopping before today should be bound by the old terms and conditions...?

Well if they don't honour my voucher in relation to the Pinot then I'll simply return it, complain LOUDLY that they're refusing to honour their price check agreement and Asda is cheaper and will then refuse to shop there again- simples ;)

"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being".
"Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that".
"True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".

Check on Tesco.com and Asda.com - have them both open on different tabs so you can double check properly. ;)
