    1. Where we suspect that any false or fraudulent claim or one abusing the spirit of the Price Check scheme is being made, we reserve the right to refuse to issue or redeem a Price Check Voucher.
hmmm this is one that is open to interpretation... where as the blurb on the pricematch site is quite specific
We’ll check the price of your comparable grocery shopping versus ASDA and then send you an email when we have your results. Of course we’re confident you will find your shopping cheaper at Tesco, but if not, we’ll refund double the difference.

    so not that confident then

I just wanted to let you know that I used my voucher for £52 in Aberdeen today and the SA put it through with no problems. It scanned straight away and she didn't need to call a Supervisor.
She also said it was the first one she had put through so obviously not a lot of other MSE'ers in Aberdeen lol :)

Which Aberdeen store? I used my one at BOD store :) Hello fellow mse'r :D
Please remember to thank fellow MSE'rs

***TESCO PRICE CHECK TERMS AND CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN UPDATED***
    Fair Use

Tesco Operates a Fair use policy on Price Check. As such:
    1. Where we suspect that any false or fraudulent claim or one abusing the spirit of the Price Check scheme is being made, we reserve the right to refuse to issue or redeem a Price Check Voucher.
The 'spirit of the scheme' is a very loose term meaning they can pretty much do what they want.:(:(
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)

Well no more than £100 towards one anyway (it's not from the Direct desk)

Had this email back about the price check not now being available

We recently relaunched our Price Check facility, and have added further functionality to improve our customers experience and promote our great value prices. The new website is based upon purchases made, and a customer would input either their receipt details from a store purchase or Grocery Home Shopping order. Once these details have been submitted, our team then work hard to compare the prices for the products a customer has bought, with our largest competitor ASDA. Whilst we are confident that we will be cheaper, we have however committed ourselves to providing a voucher worth 'double the difference' in case we are not in any particular instance.

Regrettably, because of the way in which the information for the previous Price Checker had to be gathered, the prices were not always right up to date and we did receive complaints regarding this. Additionally, we noticed a significant drop in the number of customers that were using this resource in favour of the new system. After careful consideration, we decided that our new way of comparing prices, which allows customers to check the price of an entire shop, was the type of service that we wanted to focus on. This being the case, I am sorry to say that our previous 'single item' Price Checker will not be returning.

Hello everyone, thankyou to everyone who has posted their fab finds! Im new so please dont bite!
I did a dtd shop on mon of about £49 and got a voucher back for £46. I tried to spend it today, however the lady on the till called over 2 ladies (i guess higher up staff?) and they both said the voucher wasnt valid. They compared the barcode to a number on a piece of paper they had in a folder. They were really rude, and i felt so embarrest! The way she said it made out i had faked the voucher! I said i didnt want the shopping i was buying then. Then she took my original receipt off of me! OH rang customer services, as we were really annoyed. I was made to feel like some kind of criminal. CS going to get back to us. anyone else experienced such trouble?

This is shocking behaviour on Tesco's part! Unfortunately there have been a few people who have had heavy handed 'mangers' treat them like common criminals! To be quite honest it seems to be getting out of hand! Were you not able to call head office there and then? I know under these circumstances it is extremely humiliating and you just want to get out the store but if you had asked them to call or you call yourself on a mobile this would have been resolved there and then......I know this does not help now! I hope CS get back to you quickly and you resolve this matter, this should be another complaint to Head office as NOBODY should be treated like this for a campaign that Tesco's have masterminded and are quite clearly in over their heads!

The Tesco Price Check website will be updated with Asda prices on a daily basis for customers to check their receipts against.

do you think they will bring the price checker back but it will only be available after the receipt has been submitted?
the fun has gone I think...

Not much ''food'' on that list is there. I would find it a great deal if it was on things we actually needed like food, fruit and veg etc.

Just shows you how over priced most of these things are in the first place.
