So what about people that stay in rural areas that need a car because there's little if no public transport?

Move the jobs to them, not too difficult.

Too many people living and working in towns and cities.

During the last protests i heard them say they need high tax on fuel to pay for the health service, Why are
motorists paying for the health service, I though NI was to pay for that.

If everyone uses it then everyone should contribute, Tax on motorists should pay to keep the roads on decent
condition. With a bit of profit to go towards other essentials.

What do they use the NI & Tax for?

The current campaign is by Fair Fuel UK http://www.fairfueluk.com/index.html.

They are against direct action and are using petitions and MP lobbying to make their point.

Maybe not loud enough though if you haven't seen them on the news or in the papers.

I contacted my local MP and at first he wouldn't sign the petition, after more constituents also e-mailed he wrote to us advising he was joining the campaign.

Tax on fuel should be going on ROADS.

Why? Nothing more than a personal opinion based on your own self interests.

Bit like a smoker saying that tax on fags should only be spent on treating smokers.

Like it or not these people are going to have to find an alternative. Current prices are only the start, with increasing demand from China we are soon going to be priced out of the market.

Dont people in rural areas have horses?

So many people seem to fail to understand how government and taxation work. The government takes taxes from us and then uses that money to provide services. More tax equals beter and more services, less tax equals worse and less services, its as simple as that. Now there is course some debate over which services the money is spent on, but in general thats it.

The one area that really should be addressed is waste, corruption, jobs for the boys, over paid consultants and aid to countries that afford space programs.

If you want to protest about something then go to your local council and demand that anyone on over £100k takes an immediate pay cut. Protest about the money that we give to India, if they can afford a space program why are we giving them money, especially as we are broke.

Protest about the way that Boots is not only ripping off the NHS, but how they moved their head office abroad so they can avoid paying UK tax.
