Just connect it to the phone and it unlocks it to all networks in seconds. Easy peasy.
Then sell it on eBay. You might even sell it at a profit.
I have used one of these clips a couple of months ago to unlock a D500 which was locked to Orange, and as you say they, are so easy to use. But for anyone who really doesn't want to try them, the only other option is your local phone accessory shop or a Market stall, the cost is about the same as a clip £100 -

It's as easy as connecting your mobile to its charger and switiching it on and off!
And I'd really resent paying a tenner to the guy on the market stall or the local mobile phone shop for something that takes seconds.
For the more adventurous and techie types, unlocking cables are also available, which will also enable you to debrand the software (get rid of any reference to o2 in the screens) or flash it with new software in the future.
These are available on eBay and from sellers such as Phantom GSM0 -

Yeah, but doesn't flashing your phone invalidate the warranty?0 -

Mobile phone retailers flash phones all the time, but I suppose they could argue that owners shouldn't.
Wait until the warranty expires before flashing it if you want to be safe!0 -
How likely do you think I am to receive one of these phones?
I ordered one via freemans with code and debit card on Thursday night
and 2 with grattan setting up new account on Friday.
Have I got a chance of receiving 1??0 -
