Tesco Super Store - Castlereagh Road

Wish Belfast had a lot of street markets as in London instead of more and more, same as, same as 'super' markets. If we had, perhaps there would be more opportunity for farmers to sell local produce directly to us. Perhaps also more of the money would stay and circulate in Northern Ireland and perhaps it would help to create some real jobs. We don't need more and more of these stores, some are not particularly cheap and the amount of food we all waste due to the way we purchase is staggering.

Rumour has it that work has ceased due to the river running through the site. Whether that is correct, I do not know.

the development is still being processed with PACNI, as it has been put down as a major development and they are still waiting for that to be approved, highly doubt a small thing such as a river would stop the whole development, I actually cant wait for it to go up, bring some sort of life back into the area.

Gosh I'm only noticing this thread now, it's good we have a local flavour to this website.

I really hope something will also be done about the lower part of the Castlereagh Road, there are certain places down there that let the place down somewhat. It definitely could do with a facelift.

At Tesco Taste NI in Custom House Square today, the Tesco big wigs were outlining their plans for expansion in NI - it included Tesco Extra Stores in Newtownards & Northcott, but didn't mention anything at all about the Castlereagh site.

Just wondered if anyone had heard anything more about this one!

Newtownards and Nothcott sites have big signs all around the blue fencing advertising all the stuff that will be available instore. Castlereagh road site just has the blue fencing................

Does anyone know if the Tesco in West Thurrock, Essex have any deals going on? Been viewing this site for months but finally got around to registering yesterday. Loving it so far
