    Hi Dawn,

I've just caught your thread and wanted to say welcome.

I see you work for yourself and wondered if you'd considered whether it wouldn't be less stressful to have a straight job with a reliable salary each month? Just a thought and obviously I don't know your circumstances.

    Hope you're feeling better today.

    Well, first things first!

Sky has to go. You quite simply can't afford it I'm afraid. Invest in a freeview box for more channels.

The food can come down. Pop over to the Old Style board for tips on meal planning, cooking from scratch etc. The people on that board can live off the smell of an oily rag and eat very well and run well-oiled household. I don't know how they do it!

Why are you paying your mum's credit cards? I know you say you can't stop, but you have to, you just can't afford. Maybe there's a reason for this, but I hope it's a good one!

You need to get to CCCS or Payplan as soon as you possibly can. Your situation is pretty serious because so much of the debt is secured against your home and you are in danger of repossession if you can't make the payments. Sorry to be blunt, but it's true. I think you said you have an appointment with CCCS on Friday, that's good. The banks prefer to deal with these types of charities as they're a known quantity. So hopefully they can help.

One more thing, you said you run your own business and you've taken a paycut of £1000 a month? If the business isn't going well perhaps it's time to look at winding it up or cutting back and taking on a full-time/part-time job instead. The one thing you need right now is a steady income and it doesn't sound to me like you've got it.... something to think about anyway.

    I hope CCCS goes well.
