Dont know how much difference it would make but i always use large eggs so if you only use a small or medium then that might make a difference to the moistness.

I made a batch recently which were my best ever, in my opinion, and yet when hubby tried them he went ummmm well these are not as good as usual. You cant please them all.
Well there yer go pet. :D

Ours have all gone now. Taking a out of 10 satisfaction sample of friends and family, we got a couple of sixes, the odd seven and several eights, so mostly they went down quite well.

I'm a reasonably good cook (for a bloke that is ), but as I used a medium sized egg then when the next batch is done I will use 1 egg + 1 yolk, and see how it comes out.
  • I made some of these at the weekend and I think they're delicious, and with the added weetabix they're fairly nutritious (esp. when compared to shop bought cakes etc). Ds (aged 3) enjoyed helping me make them too, he particularly liked the 'crush the weetabix' part LOL!

Save the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate! :)
  • I made these last week and they were delicious.
I got 12 out of the tray, but u could get less, if u cut them bigger.

I covered mine with drizzled white and milk chocolate. yummy

I was going to make some, but after adding up the calrories - a whopping 2600 for the batch  - that works out (if it makes 12 brownies) at around 200 calories per brownie
    Not what I'd call nutitious...

Not if you look at it that way! But the weetabix does add some fibre and at least they aren't filled with hydrogenated vegetable oil or other nasties like a lot of cakes and biscuits you buy at the supermarket. I cut them up quite small and got about 16 brownies. I agree that you wouldn't want to eat loads of them but they're great for a treat (and probably less calories than a Mars bar for instance)
  • Just made a batch for the first time :j

They are very yummy :j ( especially when still warm ;) )

Thanks to OP :T for the receipe will def be making them again :D

    Naughty :naughty: but nice

  • I had the end of a bag of cornflakes to use up and so added them to my mixture and it worked a treat. We don't often have cornflakes but it's great to have found a use for the wee broken bits that are left and are sometimes thrown out.

I made these- not enough chocolate so I used 50g dates (! works well in choc cakes usually!) and also 50g posh hot chocolate that is nearly expired! OH loved them!!! I liked them too.

    THANK YOU!
