  • Hi all,
Need a really thrifty week as it is our 'end of month' week (DH gets paid on Fri - woo hoo!), luckily I have some meat in the freezer from a trip to Costco and a couple of other bits and bobs floating around so.........

SAT: Curry at my parents, we will supply pud, probably Indian ice-
    cream from Lidl.
SUN: HM Steak and mushroom pie with mash and peas, probably a
    fruit crumble of some sort.
MON: Lunchbox: HM Pizza swirls with salad
Dinner: Cauli, mac 'n' cheese (Jamie recipe)
TUE: Lunchbox: HM Sausage Roll with salad
Dinner: Chilli (from freezer) with wedges
WED: Lunchbox: HM Leek & potato soup & HM bread
Dinner: Jackets with beans & cheese
THURS: Lunchbox: Tandoori drumsticks with mini naans
    Dinner: Pasta & pesto
    FRI: Lunchbox: Sandwiches
    Dinner: Chicken casserole with roasties

Will bake all bread & rolls at the weekend and make Twinks hob nobs, flapjack and maybe Brownies if I have time.

Here goes with another week's. I don't know where the time goes...

Sun: Turkey biryani, with extra veggies
    Mon: Coconut curry with rice
    Tues: Pork Enchiladas
    Weds: Not sure
    Thurs: Soup & a roll
Fri: Sausage Casserole with jacket potatoes

Lunches are sandwiches or leftovers, and there's cereal for breakfast. I plan on doing a little baking next week to supplement the cakes/chocolate quota (there are surprisingly a few Twinks' left in the tin!) but I might make some coconut butterfly cakes for a change. Hopefully I won't need to do a big shop this coming week as I intend to majorly cut down on drinking caffeinated or artificially sweetened drinks and make more good things and treats instead of buying them. I didn't realise til I started doing the GC how much more I am spending! Never mind...

Great to see your mealplans, they're always such a source of inspiration. :)

Thanks for starting the thread, JulieGeorgiana

I'd forgotten it was Pancake Day this week so Tue. dinner was pancakes with lemon juice and pudding pancakes with maple syrup and cream. Then Tue planned meal and all following got shuffled back a day.

Sat: Hummous with pitta bread, olives, salad

Mon: Kidneys flambe (new recipe), creamed pots, green salad.

Tue: Cod with cherry toms, new pots, broccoli

Wed: Beef casserole, baked pots, cabbage

Thu: Eggs Florentine (new recipe), followed by a slice of traybake

Fri: Grilled gammon rasher, baked pot, saute leeks, parsnips
