    Morning All,

Fingers crossed Sistercas, the waiting is the worst thing
JulieGeorgiana glad to see you back and keeping up with the diet. I have done a full week tomorrow and also a full week without wine but finding the diet ok, just takes some planning and my IBS is much better:T just need to find some wheatgerm, I couldn't get it in Mr T's so will try the healthfood shop this morning.

Need to get out early this morning, have parcels to post, cheques to pay in, want a shoulder of Lamb to try slow roasted shoulder a la Raymond Blanc and need a 50th Birthday card for tomorrow as out with friends. Also got a food delivery from Mr T's this afternoon.

Housewise I have a big pile of washing to put away yuck, and need to do some bits of admin.

Tea tonight will be a surprise as I haven't decided yet but it will involve Chicken:D

Had a long talk with DS3 last night and he has promised to get really stuck in at school and try and reach his full potential, Year 10 is so important so we have a new schedule for the evenings that I hope he will follow, no MSN or facebook or X Box until we are both happy he has done what needs doing. I think I have taken this on trust in the past as his older brothers and sisters used to just get on with it. Will be keeping a much closer eye in the future.

Well off out into the wind and cold and rain, keep safe friends x

Managed to cross post, just popped back to say good luck at the dentist. I hate it too, have had a bit of a nagging ache for a couple of days and just trying to ignore it:o

    Morning All,

Had a someone fractured sleep, DS2 appears to have a light concussion, feeling sick and dizzy etc., so I spent the night waking him to make sure he was OK. He was retching a wee while ago, but actually seems a bit better, so I am trying to decide whether to take him back or not, it all seems pretty textbook and I have given him some paracetamol so if the headache doesn't go away soon, I will be taking him back. Had to call in to work for a parental day, I am not sure if I made much sense talking to my boss, as I was so tired and trying not to panic!!

If he's OK, I will be using my time constructively while he rests, and doing lots of OS and make do some decent menu planning. The low carbing is going extremely well - except for a wee chocolate blip on Tuesday :o

Flutterby hope you are OK, I am terrified of the dentist too.xxx

Sistercas, fingers crossed for a positive outcome for you, such a shame for whoever it affects though. :(

    See you later.

Julie67 I am so pleased that you have managed it for a week! Giving up wine is a great achievement! My IBS has completly gone, and I rarely get hungry anymore!

I think the biggest adjustment has been the moods/energy! Because of the insulin resistance I used to have great big HIGHS and really low LOWS and now i've evened out and find I can't get as much done as I did when I was 'High' so I am trying to get used to 'plodding' but I am greatful the lows are gone though!!

DS and DH both keep commening on the fact that I am not as ratty as I used to be!!!!

I've lost 1 Stone 2.5lbs from 11th Feb - 7th Mar which makes my total loss 6 Stone 7lbs... should really post a picture I have one on facebook!

Keep up the great work xxx

I can't get an emergency dental appt til tomorrow. Tried local ones but they could only offer me private appts for tomorrow so i rung NHS Direct again - dentistry this time. There was a lovely lady who talked me through my symptons and re-assured my fears about the dentist :T she was very helpful. She gave me a ref no and I had to ring another office that held emergency slots. Sadly only had spots for tomorrow but I'll be ok til then. Just need to rest, stay upright and take painkillers and ice the area.

She also gave me a number of a dentist taking on NHS patients locally so I have rung them and made initial appt for 22nd mar to join them. I explain I'm petrified, and again the woman there was lovely.

Scared sh!tless but I gotta go cos I look like a lopsided hampster! :rotfl:

Annoyingly, my neighbours cute friend has just asked if we all wanna go to pub Sat to watch rugby. Please can you all pray that the swelling goes down quickly!!!

    Morning all!

Glorious sunshine here today, lovely to see! Off to work at lunchtime till 7pm, so OS limited to DW, WM, BM, yoghurt and hoovering, plus whipping up something for dinner, think spag bol may be the order of the day!

Had a lovely lunch yesterday, though felt drowsy all afternoon - possibly shouldn't have eaten quite so much lol! Got home and caught up with the troops and then headed straight for the shower and bed! Looking forward to a day off tomorrow, even though ds and me are meant to be removing skirting boards prior to new floor being laid - need to go and buy it at the weekend!

Have a great day all xx

Oh dear lots of people with bad news or illness today.

Flutterby - Hope swelling isn't something too serious xx Take some deep breaths and remind yourself the swelling and pain are WORSE than not going and getting it sorted xx

Sistercas - Fingers crossed that you're not made redundant xx

JackieG - Oh poor DS, hope it's just mild concussion and that he makes a speedy recovery.

    Morning everyone.

H didn't made it to a second interview for promotion yesterday :( Was gutted for him as reasons for not being passed to second interview stage are a bit woolley to say the least
So we continue to plod along..........
Not sure what's for tea need to go and sort that out.

Been blowing a gale overnight, still windy but sun is trying to shine so fingers crossed I'll be able to hang out washing at least.
Not sure what other OS I'll be doing as joints etc really ache today, think it's this rash-virus-thingy I picked up from DS.

Anyway hugs, spoons and high fives all round. Have a great day OS or not.
