  • I'd also like to join please. I've been trying to pay off debts but I'm really not trying hard enough - I'm not accruing any new debt but not really getting rid of the old debt :(

May I enlist for this too please... :j

The new 1st Jan start date sounds fab too, having only just come accross this thread today - I felt I'd be a bit "behind" everyone

Don't know about a "spending" diary.... at this rate I'm gonna have to also have a "club diary" to keep track of all the "clubs" & things that i've either already started doing or am planning for Jan 2007 :o

Keen ? who ? Me? Does this mean I've had a lightbulb moment ? :rotfl:

First principle of Flylady - "you are not behind"! ;)

January 1st is good though - can't see me getting into any good habits over the next fortnight! :D

    HI Tondella

Please please sign me up. I plan to make 2007 my debt-busting year and I'd love to have a daily reminder and challenge - thanks so much for doing this.

Am still working on mine - it is terrifying! I was wondering about this thread and whether this had started - tried to post yesterday but the site kept going down on me!

    Is everyone there?

    Hallo i'm still here.

The site was slow last night. Kept booting me off. I didn't realise I was so addicted to it.

Well I actualy started a spending diary in the middle of November and was shocked when I added it up at work yesterday. It was 365.00:eek: - i nearly fell off my chair. Mind you it did include 2 big shops and an MOT. Not taking my purse to work anymore, that should stop me and I should lose a bit of weight as most of my spends seem to get eaten.:o

Good luck all with the diary.

Gosh - £365 - that doesn't seem too bad - mine is running way higher than that! I haven't dared to add up the last bit yet.... it does include Christmas, some car repairs and soem emergency vet fees but I am starting to see why we are in debt! :o

Redid the budget yesterday based on it and found we are about £100 short a month - previously I thought we had a bit spare to throw at debts but I hadn't budgeted for loads of things (Christmas, tax etc). Am going to try to get it to balance by seeing if we can get a better mortgage deal etc. but also will need to earn more every month to bring the debts down.

Ah well - at least now we know and can get started working on it properly! I think a Flylady approach will really help - Tondella - are you there??!
