When I was a kid and desperately needed a pee with no options, I went and did it in a bush or against a tree :D

I agree with the OP in finding it annoying. Considering you're a frequent paying customer, you would think they would allow you to keep using the toilets as a gesture of goodwill. I remember reading an article on the BBC site a while ago where a John Lewis manager said he was more than happy for non-paying customers to use their toilets because they walk past the displays and may even end up buying something. Plus you have a small kid with you, it's not like you're a hoodie sitting outside swigging cider and using their toilets all day!

How are they to know who is a frequent paying customer? :rotfl:
    Gone ... or have I?
  • Yup - let someone use your facilities and they may end up buying something or returning another day to buy. Refuse and they'll never come back.

Any decent shopkeeper should know who their regular customers are.

When I worked at Domino's I used to know the regulars, and usually what they like to order.

Sad I know. But it was nice when some of them get drunk and ring up for food. I could f*** with their heads (in a joking way of course!)

The problem with this is you can't discrimate. Macdonalds can't say toilets are for paying customers only and for respectable looking people. They either open them to the public or they don't.

Dominos is not nearly as busy as most McDonalds though. ;)

How do they police this? If you go straight in to the loo, how do they know your not going to buy?
