Anyone wishing to orginise a protest outside the offices of this scrupulous bunch of thieves please contact me, maybe if we all stood together and named and shamed the director of this company maybe even knock his house door and tell him he's won a visit from us all bearing gifts at no cost it might stop the robbing git in his tracks.

I received one of these 'opportunities' with my 'personal allocation code...............603498'! So, I put the Dept VC in google and the rest came up. Thanks to all of you for your time to post your comments and saving me the bother of a very expensive call.0

Many thanks on all your posts about this dubious company. I received one of these letters today, and thought that it looke da bit dodgy - so did a search. Thanks for posting, I know that I can trust your wisdom. The letter has been filed in the shredder!!
Thanks all!;)Thanks all competition posters!!! 2015 Wins: A baby on the way!! Whiplash R/U Prize. Good Luck all!:)0 -
So good that this thread is here!! I also got a letter - same address, same code!! Was going to send off for the allocation code by registered post to get around the phone cost. That way I'd know it got there on time - but after reading the above posts - sure they'd probably get around it some other way?
What i don't understand is how do they get away with saying
"P.S- You have definitely been selected to receive one of these prizes or awards." and then not awarding it!!!
Why has the OFT not stopped or prosecuted the directors of this company?
Thank you to all for keeping the rest of us from getting scammed!!!0 -
I received one of these too, I had entered a newspaper competition a while back but was sure I'd texted the entry rather than posted it, as the letter suggested. Being a busy person I'm not always too good in the old memory department, but the more I checked the letter the more I realised it was all a bit dodge! When I googled the company name - Mcintyre & Dodd - I came across this forum which confirmed my suspicions. So thank you to all who have written on here and glad that there is this sort of information to stop people wasting their money on rubbish.0

I see they have changed their name slightly, but my claim number is also 5724310

They found me too.. and my 'personal' allocation code is 603498 too... and they say they want me to receive my cash.. well.. I guess they have my address, but they will defo not get me into their game.. Being on the 'Suckers List' (apparently that's where they put you once you reply..-check spamlaws.com-quite interesting..) is not my cup of tea.. It just seems crazy that there is an address to this company, there are hundreds of letters as evidence for how they deceive people, yet it takes so long to stop them.. I guess I'll take the advice to send them a little 'pressie' and let them pay for it.. I love the idea! I really think we should all do that.. just no stamp, they'll pay for it and there you go..they can eat their own soup..0

Beware!!!!!
They have now changed their name to:
CENTRAL NOTIFICATION SERVICE.! Same address and format as before.
I have been recieving their so called prize lists for about two years. I have never replied but they do not ever appear to give up sending out these ridiculous letters.

I have recieved one of these letters today, from ECRED25c. Prizes are car, HD TV, or cash ranging from £25 thru £1000.
My 'unique' number is 692O6Y6. To claim ring £1.53 per minute for a minimum of 5mins 35secs, text costing £9.30 or write & allow 28 days. This is to get a 4 digit claim number. All the costs are of course in the small print!
I wonder if this is a result of a hearing, by making the system more informative.
Still seems a bit of a gamble to me.0 -
I got one of these letters today from "unclaimed prize rollout".... unique code is 35z181a . I don't know what the so called prize is and nor do i care because there at the bottom of the letter in the small print is " McIntyre & Dodd Marketing Ltd" which also spells out SCAM so be warned don't reply to these SCAMMERS instead do yourself a favour and register with MPS registration (as i did this morning). Hopefully this will stop the unwanted mail from these cowboys!!
If it sounds to good to be true - IT'S A SCAM
Have a nice day folks0
