I was about to post out my claim but thought I would check it out before I did. I am so pleased that I did what a surprise when the number given was 603498!!!
 How do these people get away with it there should be a law to stop things like this - although I dont know how it could be enforced which is probably why there isn't one.
Perhaps if we all took our letters to the police something would be done - Power of the people!
Letter now deposited in the bin.:(0 -

I'm afraid it's a scam whatever your letters and numbers are. For all we know they may have been reading this thread and thought they'd better change the code to catch new victims.0 -
I got yet another letter offer them, a 'final reminder'. Same claim number and poscode as everyone else. Morons.0

Have just read the above thread as I received a letter from them this morning.
We all have legal rights regarding this because of the Data Protection Act 1998. The first right that we have is to be told by the Data Processor where they got our personal information from.
The second right is for us to insist that they stop processing our personal data.
My advice is to email the company (email counts as written correspondence in a court of law) requesting that they comply with the Data Protection Act and tell you the source of your personal data. Secondly, tell them that, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, they should desist from processing your personal data, and that they have 10 days from the date of the email to comply.
Finally, tell them that if they do not comply with your request, you will make a formal complaint to the Office of the Information Commissioner, who will investigate and if appropriate will take further action against the company. This may include the imposition of a financial penalty on the firm or its directors.
This may just concentrate their minds.
BTW, if you need to contact the information commissioner, google it. The web site gives access to the complaints process.
It won't get them closed down, but if everyone receiving such a letter emailed them, it would disrupt their business at the least, and hopefully may get some financial penalty imposed on them.0 -
I received a letter this morning and MY persoanl allocation number is 603498. I decided to google the company, but before i clicked the link for money saving expert, i saw an article on the Guardian website called 'do you think you're a prize idiot'. So i clicked that first.
I found it an interesting read as it is talking all about the Unclaimed Prize Rollout or whatever it's called itself in the past.
The Guardian have phoned the number and listed all the personal allocation codes matching them to the prizes.
From this list i identified that i had the misfortune of winning the digital camera! (I, too, had not noticed the camera on the list until i went back to re-read my letter! Strange that according to previous messages i am not the only one who missed it at first read. Fishy!)
As a new user i'm not allowed to post a link to the article. But i googled 'unclaimed prize rollout' and the article was on the first google page. You might be able to identify what prize you have if you have a different code or you do not already know you have code 603498 ...a digital camera!
I hope it helps.

I have also recieved these letters! In fact I recieved one about a month ago telling me I'd won a prize but I found the vagueness of the letter a bit suspicious, it said "unclaimed prize rollout" at the top and asked if I recalled filling in/entering a competition, I figured if it was real then it would have actually told me what competition it was i had supposedly entered.
I ignored the letter but have since recieved two letters in the past couple of weeks saying "final reminder", on receipt of the second "final reminder" I decided to check online and it appears to be the same scam as discussed here
The personal allocation number is 603498 again
The phone number is 090651 580550 and the address is PO Box 107 Ross-On-Wye Herefordshire HR9 9YP - is this the same as other people were given?
really not impressed by this, i'm just glad I didn't ring them and spend a fortune for nothing.
I was particularly unimpressed with the fact that one of my so called "final reminder"s actually said this on the envelope, which made my mum a bit suspicious when she saw the letter and made me very nervous when opening it, just to find it was far less urgent than it appeared on first glance.
Why don't these scammers just get real jobs instead of trying to con normal decent people... what prats! :mad:0 -
Tucked away in the small print at the bottom of the original 'You've Won!' letter is confirmation that the £1,000 Shopping Voucher prize is for either ASDA, Tesco or Morrisons. Just a thought, but has anyone asked at their local branch of these companies what their involvement is with this scheme?
Doubtless this information would quickly travel up the ladder to Head Office, where a broadside from the legal departments of M/s. ASDA, Tesco and Morrisons just might raise the temperature to an unbearable level in the Ross-on-Wye area!0 -

I can 100% tell you all that this company and many others that they trade under is a scam. The majority of thier 'businesses' are registered under this address -
Green Heys, Walford Road, Ross on Wye, HR9 5DB - I used to live about a mile down the road from here and I can tell you its just a normal house on the main road
This 'company' operates are a scratch card business, survey site (surveys.co.uk) and who-knows what else - a complete rip off - Something my local paper has been trying to campaign against for years.MFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11
