  • i received a letter today from 'Unclaimed Prize Rollout' and after having read the initial paragraph stating 'Do you recall receiving an entry coupon for a competition or prize promotion?...' i thought No actually i dont remember, so i decided to google this company as i dont particularly want to pay £1.53 per minute.

my unique code is 4595RP3 which was apparently allocated to me on 20 June 2011?! closing date on the letter is 31 december 2011, address is ECRED25b, PO Box 107, Ross-on-wye, Herefordshire, HR9 9YP. tel 09061 581330.

the letter isnt even signed with a persons name, it just simply says 'prize controller'. i must say the letter does look very official and if i hadnt have found this thread regarding all their previous scams i might have thought they were genuine.

i have executively filed this letter in the bin.

I have recieved one of these letters today, from ECRED25c. Prizes are car, HD TV, or cash ranging from £25 thru £1000.

My 'unique' number is 692O6Y6. To claim ring £1.53 per minute for a minimum of 5mins 35secs, text costing £9.30 or write & allow 28 days. This is to get a 4 digit claim number. All the costs are of course in the small print!

I wonder if this is a result of a hearing, by making the system more informative.

Still seems a bit of a gamble to me.
It seems that a only small amount of people who have received this letter have left a comment, as opposed to the many who have viewed the thread.

Don't bin the letter, you have been vigilant enough to investigate this letter, but possibly many people have not and have been scammed out of £10+ to be rewarded by a 50p digital camera or similar.

I received my letter today and i am in the process of reporting the company to my local trading standards agency, Action Fraud at directgov.com and the National Fraud Intelligence bureau.

If this company has been operating since 2006 .... they must find it lucrative
  • I have so far made £40 out of Purely Creative with their scratchcards by writing for a claim number and asking them to email it to me. Ok, takes about 6 weeks but they do pay up. Got a letter today for the Unclaimed prize Rollout..... but I think I will give it a miss

I too have been received a barrage of these so-called unclaimed prize rollout letters. The one received yesterday was stamped "final reminder" and my unique ID number is 28A80A9, bottom right hand code ECRED25b ( same as lots of others as far as I can see).

What I'd really love to know is, has anyone any knowledge of a prize winner, who they are, and what did they win?

So far all I have read are people receiving these letters but I've yet to hear about an actual winner.

C'mon folks, prove me wrong that this is entirely a scam.

  • Hi All,

I have recieved a letter today that is similar to the letters stated above.

The Company is The Competition Warehouse Unclaimed Prize Department.

Thay have an attractive WebSite competitionwarehouse. co .uk

Prizes available are From £25,000 - £25 Cash

I have been given a unique code and a £1.53 per minute phone number to ring.

There is a differnt address on the letter to the ones stated above. Unclaimed Prize Department, Reg Office, 12 Rylands Mews, Lake Street, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 1SP.

I am posting this as this helped Me when I recieved the letter to search to see if it was a scam.
  • M Watson 8, I have received the same letter as you, form "The Competition Warehouse".. I would assume it is all the same companies under different names...

The whole bit about "do you recall receiving an entry coupon for a competition or prize?" is obviously rubbish... but i am just wondering if the minimum prize of £25 is worth sending away for?

I remember YEARS ago ringing up one of the scratchcard type ones and I "won" a free holiday... however what it actually was, was 1 free nights acomodation for 1 person in paris or something, when you go with somone else... so you may save £30 after spending hundres for flights and your own accomodation etc..

  • Received a letter from Competition Warehouse, Unclaimed Prize Department yesterday, address on my letter is PO Box 6155, Milton Keynes MK1 9DY

    Letter begins:
"Do you recall receiving an entry coupon for a competition or prize promotion? The promoter selected your name for us and as a result you have won a valuable prize if your unique ID matches anyone of over 10,000 winning ID numbers."

The "anyone" is one word in the letter! Note the "if"

Smalll print... call cost £1.53 per minute from BT landline. Max 6 minutes, Min, time 5.35

    Going straight in the bin!
