I'm at home today as we're going to work this evening as we have lots of banging/drilling to do and don't want to disturb our new 'neighbours'.

I've cooked the bolognese sauce for tonights dinner already to save time later, I've used Quorn mince for the first time and it looks and smells good so fingers crossed it tastes good! I've also sewn the crotch of my son's school trousers which had ripped. All in all I'm feeling quite pleased with myself! :)

Hi Chums well my pal has gone home now and boy what a smashing job she made of the carpet. We also hung the new nets and apart from looking for some pale pink curtains the spare room is finished now .I am delighted with it as it looks so nice. She has worked her little socks off the past two days fueled by coffee and cakes from me.Tomorrow is my DGD Kayies 18th birthday I have sorted out two cakes for her and just have to run them over to the restaraunt tomorrow morning with some helium balloons.Tomorrow night there will be 15 of us all sitting down to dinner there.Hopefully I won't be on my ex-son-laws table as he is not my favourite person, but he is her Dad so I will be as polite as I can be.
Extended families can be a bit awkward at times ,but it is Katies day so I will smile even with slightly gritted teeth :)
Its been nice and sunny today but the wind is a bit on the biting side so if you are off out anywhere do wrap up well.
Hope you all have had a nice day .I keep popping in to look at my smart new-look spare room :)
    Take care all

I'm sure Noahspenniless mum was just on our local radio station earlier. If it was her, she sounded really good and confident in herself. Came across really well. She was on BBC 3CR talking about the changes to assessment of special educational needs.

Oh dear I think I'm either having a reaction to my tablets or I have an absess or something :(

My left cheek is all swollen and red, I look like a lopsided hamster. It's warm and a little painful to touch, and the swelling has gotten worse throughout the day. I can feel a lump underneath, but nothing in my mouth/gums.

I can't decide whether to ring NHS Direct for advice or just wait til tomorrow and make Doctors appt?

The side affects for the tablets don't mention anything like this.

ring NHS direct - given that you're on tablets I think that's best thing to do incase.
Hope you're feeling better soon xx

    Afternoon!

What a day! Got called by the school just after one to go for DS2 as he had fallen and his head was bleeding. Got there thinking I hoped he was OK and they were just being over cautious, to find him pretty bloody. Went to A&E and spent a couple of hours, but thankfully its just a bump and a bad graze which had lots of different point to bleed from, looking much worse than it is! Lives life at 60mph, my boy!

No OS done as yet, need to get dinner on - fajitas for the menfolk, some sort of vegetable concoction for me, I had eggs this morning for the first time in about five months, and didn't enjoy them, so I think I'll be sticking to not eating them anymore. In fact I think I will have garlic mushrooms :)

Hugs spoons and hi fives all round, I have read, haven't retained, sorry! :o
