Santander 3.3%/3.5% Flexible ISA i3

I've just tried opening a 3.3% account online and I get presented with the following options:
Now I'm confused...what should I select?
I already have a Flexible ISA (Iss 2) from last year with them that I am transferring to Halifax.
It also asks about linking to a card, should I select "Link to a new card" (I didn't realise this account came with a card!)
Thanks
I chose "send in a cheque" but later received an email offerring different ways to fund the account so I used BACS not a cheque. How do you actually want to fund it?
I don't think there's really any choice about the card. IIRC either you already have a Santander card that you link to the new ISA, or they send you a new card whether you want it or not.0 -

Thanks. I want to use BACS but I was a little surprised the 'best' option for me was cheque!
The card option was also a surprise as I had seen no mention of a card previously. A 'no card' option would be nice seeing as most people probably won't use it!0 -
Yeah, I was surprised about the card. So now I have it, put away in a drawer where I'll doubtless forget about it.
As soon as you get your account number & sort code you can use BACS. I paid in from another account over the net and it arrived in the ISA in about 5 minutes! (I got the Santander online login info in the post, but if you already have an account with them you might already have a login?)0 -
Hello fellow MoneySavers!
I made an online application for the Santander ISA 3.3%, for the new tax year (11/12) at the end of March. I got this reply from them;
Hello,
Thanks for your e-mail regarding your new ISA.
To open and deposit funds into this account for the tax year 2010/2011, you will need to visit your local branch today with I.D (05/04/2011) and deposit funds into it.
You will need to bring one piece of I.D from each of the following lists
(too exhaustive - I won't list them!).
Has anyone else had this response from them? I did make it clear that I was opening it for the new tax year!
So, I guess I now need to go into the bank with all the ID etc, and make the deposit, to activate the account. I hope they'll allow me to administer it online!
Many thanks

Presumably you don't have any other accounts with them and they can't ID you online.Munro_Bagger wrote: »Hello fellow MoneySavers!

I applied online, no email from them about opening the account.
Shall wait and see, though sat on 1.98% at the minute.0 -

Ho long did it take them to get back to you by e-mail? - it's been 8 days since I applied and I've not heard a peep from them.0 -
Hi Baldur - no, I've never had an account with Santander before, so a visit to the branch it is then! Thanks.
Alias_Omega - I only received a response, because I emailed customer services quoting my online application reference number (written down at the time I made the application) asking why I hadn't heard anything from them!!!!! Might be worth contacting them and asking what's going on!!!!!

I applied online on 24/03/11. Didn't receive an acknowledgement email, so I contacted them on 30/03/11. They responded yesterday (05/04/11) at 15.10pm, helpfully pointing out that if I wanted to open it for the 2010/11 tax year, that I'd have to go to a branch that day!
Thankfully, it's this tax year I'm interested in, so I'm going to visit a branch with my ID and deposit either today or tomorrow
